The minimum age limit for applying for the CDS for IMA is 19 years. The maximum age is 24 years. You need to complete your graduation to attend this exam. You should be unmarried. Only male candidates are eligible to apply.

i. For IMA-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year:-

Eligibility criteria for C.D.S:-
> Pass graduation with recognized university
> Age limit:-19-24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

The acronym "IMA" stands for Indian Military Academy.

The Age Limit For IMA (CDS) Exam is :

* Minimum Age : 19 years.

* Maximum Age : 23 years.

The CDS exam is conducted every year twice every in the months of February and December by the Union public Service Commission.

UPSC conducts the Combined Defence Services(CDS) Exam twice a year.
Recruitments are made to the Naval Academy,Airforce Academy,
Indian Military Academy(IMA) and Officers Training Academy(OTA).

Eligibility For CDS Exams :

Age Limit :
IMA-19-24yrs
OTA-19-25yrs
Airforce Academy-19-23yrs
Naval Academy-19-22yrs

There is no relaxation of age limit for any category of candidates.

Educational Qualification :
Minimum educational qualification is graduation from a recognised University.
FINAL YEAR APPEARING/APPEARED CANDIDATES CAN APPLY ON PROVISION.

OTA & IMA-graduation in any dicipline from a recognised University/equivalent.

Airforce Academy-B.Sc with Physics and/or Maths / B.E. in any discipline from a recognised University.

Naval Academy-B.Sc with Maths and Physics/B.E. in any discipline from a recognised University.

Exam Scheme :
Exam pattern consists of :
1.Written exams and 2.Interviews.

For IMA,Airforce and Naval Academy written Exams :

Elementary Maths(Objective type)-100 marks
Engilish(Objective type)-100 marks
General Knowledge(Objective type)-100 marks

SSB Interviews-300 marks

For OTA Written exams :

Engilish(Objective type)-100 marks
General Knowledge(Objective type)-100 marks

The "Combined Defence Services" Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.
the examination is usually released in the months of October and June, and the examinations are conducted in February and November respectively.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

* Must be an Indian Citizen.
* Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam.
* For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

AGE LIMIT :- 19-24 years

Scheme of Examination:- All the papers are of objective type.

Subjects Include are as listed below :-
* English
* General Knowledge
* Elementary Mathematics
Total 300 Marks .

Candidates successful in the written exam are then called for an interview by a Services Selection Board which evaluates a candidate's suitability for a career in the Indian Military Academy.

1.Indian Naval Academy

2.Officer's training academy.

3.Indian Military academy.

The age limit for the IMA is s below:

Minimum age limit: 19 years

Upper age limit is : 24 years.

IMA is Indian Military Academy in Dehradun , Uttarakhand . You have to give CDS examination if you want to get into IMA.

The age limit for IMA is 19 to 24 years through CDS examination.

CDS examination is conducted by UPSC every year twice and if you are a Graduate then you can apply for this examination provided you satisfy the age criteria.

You should have required physical fitness if you are willing to join Indian Defence.

The selection in IMA is will be based on the performance in the Written Examination, SSB Interview and Medical Examination.

Those who are medically unfit according to medical examination will not be allowed to join Indian Defence.

CDS Exam Details:-

Full form of CDS is Combined Defence Services. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice a year. You can enter the following academies by giving this exam:-

1. Indian Military Academy
2. Air Force Academy
3. Naval Academy
4. Officers' Training Academy

CDS II Examination Notification 2013:-

• Date of announcement:- 25.05.13
• Last date for submission of application forms:- 24.06.13
• Date of examination:- 08.09.13

Eligibility Criteria:-

Indian Military Academy:-

1. You need to be a graduate in any disicpline from a recognized university.
   
2. Your age should be between 19 and 24 years.

Air Force Academy:-

1. You can complete your graduation in engineering or technology or you can do B.Sc degree with physics or mathematics.
   
2. Your age should be between 19 and 23 years.

Naval Academy:-

1. You need to have a bachelor's degree in science with physics or mathematics or you can do B.E./B.Tech in engineering or technology.
   
2. Your age should be between 19 and 22 years.

Officer's Training Academy:-

1. You need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
   
2. Your age should be between 19 and 25 years.

Selection Process:-

The selection procedure comprises of:-

1. Written Examination
2. Interview/Intelligence Test/Personality Test
3. Medical Test

Exam Pattern for IMA,AFA and NA:-

~English- 100 marks (2 hours)
~General Knowledge- 100 marks (2 hours)
~Elementary Mathematics- 100 marks (2 hours)
