my daughter wants to appear for medical exam in 2012. her date of birth is 15th march 1996.is she eligible to appear in NEET(MBBS) 2012????

Hello,
IMA(Indian Medical Association) has decided to conduct Pre-Medical Exam in the name of single Exam i.e. NEET (Except AIIMS & PG Medical College Chandigarh).
Although IMA has not released any notification on NEET, but has declared the date of exam i.e. 26th May 2012.So, Age related criteria will be solved on release of notification on exam.
According to current Age limit for Pre- Medical exams the Age of applicant should be 19 as on 1st july of exam year.
Moreover, you should wait for NEET-2012 Notification.

Nono she is not yet eligbile until she is 18y rs old

Yes, of course she is eligible for the exam.Only two eligibility criteria are needed, which are:
**Students,who studying 10+2(Intermediate), recognise by state governments.

**Should be indian citizen

CBSE NEET Exam for the year 2013 has been finally over.All candidates can apply for the coming year that is for 2014.As per the age Criteria is concern,if she meet the below given criteria,then only she will be eligible to apply for this exam.Its details are :-

• Minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years.
• Age of the appearing candidate should not be above 25 years.

As the candidates date of birth is 15th March 1996,she will be eligible to apply for this exam in the year 2014.


Others eligibility details that she will have to meet are :


Educational qualification :-

• Candidates minimum educational qualification should be 10+2 pass out in science discipline from recognized board/university.
• Candidates papers in Science discipline should be Physics,Chemistry and Biology.

Marks :-

• If candidates belong from the General/OBC category then their minimum marks in 10+2 should be 50%.
• If candidates belong from the SC/ST category then their minimum marks in 10+2 should be 45%.

Important :-

A candidate cannot appear more then three times in a consecutive year.

Exam Pattern :-

• This exam will be taken on the study pattern of 10+2 level.
• Questions will be from Physics,Chemistry and Biology.
• Total duration of this exam will be 3 hours.
• Total number of questions will be 180.

Exam Syllabus :-

• Physics - 45 questions.
• Chemistry - 45 questions.
• Biology - 90 questions.
