Re: PCM percentage requirement for IIT JEE Entrance Eligibility?
sorry to say..
but you are not eligible for IIT JEE. To be eligible for IIT JEE you should have passed 12th with atleast 60% marks in aggregate. and the second reason is that you have passed 12th in 2008 so you are not eligible for IIT JEE anymore. |

Re: PCM percentage requirement for IIT JEE Entrance Eligibility?
All applicant belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories should have a minimum percentage of marks of at least 60% in aggregate. For the SC, ST and PD categories the minimum percentage requirement is at least 55% in aggregate. For the IIT JEE Entrance the percentage awarded by the board will be considered as final mark and no relaxation will be provided other than category.

Re: PCM percentage requirement for IIT JEE Entrance Eligibility?
Hello Friend,
The percentage requirement for IIT JEE Entrance Exams is 60% marks in aggregate for General &OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates. Other than this for IIT JEE 2011 the date of birth of candidates belonging to GE, OBC categories should be on or after October 1, 1986. Whereas the date of birth of those belonging to SC, ST categories should be on or after October 1, 1981. The candidates should have passed 10+2 or any other qualifying examination (as mentioned by IIT) for the first time, after October 1, 2009 or in the year 2010 or will be appearing in 2011. As in your situation i am sorry to say that you will not be eligible. |

Re: PCM percentage requirement for IIT JEE Entrance Eligibility?
I am sorry to inform you but you are not eligible for appearing in IIT JEE since you do not satisfy their eligibility requirements. The pecrcentage of marks secured by you in PCM in 12th is less than the prescribed percentage.
As per the IIT JEE notification candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their qualifying exam. Whereas, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam in order to be eligible for appearing in IIT JEE. |

Re: PCM percentage requirement for IIT JEE Entrance Eligibility?
Quote:
The age limit for appearing in IIT-JEE is 25 years. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories, the relaxed age limit is 30 years. The candidate must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board with 60%. The candidate can appear in the Joint Entrance Exam two times only, that also should be in consecutive years. The candidate must be physically fit for the course for which they have applied. The candidates who will be giving their final examinations of 10+2 in 2011 are also eligible to apply. As you have percentage below 60% you are not eligible for the IIT-JEE exam. |

Re: PCM percentage requirement for IIT JEE Entrance Eligibility?
There are 2 criterias that you need to fulfill to appear in the IIT-JEE exam.
1.Minimum percentage required is 60% aggregate with 60% in each of PCM. 2.Only 2 attempts per candidate is allowed. So, only those candidates who have 10+2 in 2010 or are appearing for the exam in 2011 are eligible. As you passed your exam way before and and also do not have the required percentage, so you do not stand eligible for the exam. |
