A graduate in any discipline is eligible to apply for the post of Probationary Officer in State Bank of India.
The minimum eligible age to apply for the exam is 21 years.
The maximum age limit is 30 years for candidates belonging to general category, 33 years for candidates belonging to OBC category and 35 years for Sc/St category.

The selection procedure comprise of two stage categorized as Phase I and Phase II.
Phase I is written examination based on the following subject area:
English Language
General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
Data Analysis & Interpretation
Reasoning

Phase II includes group discussion and interview.
