I have scored 45% in graduation and 65% in post graduation diploma in mass communication.Am I eligible for the post of Probationary Officer exam?

Most probabily you won't be eligible for Bank's PO examination. Minimum educational qualification to appear in this examination is to be graduate with minimum 55 to 60% marks in graduation. Even for SC/ST/OBC candidates it would be around 50 to 55% marks in the same. So you cannot appear for the PO examination.

But you can appear for Bank's clerical aptitute examination for which the requirement is to be 40 to 50 % marks in graduation.

The eligibility criteria for bank PO differs from bank to bank.The general eligibility criteria to be possessed to be eligible for PO are listed below:

1. Candidates should have a age limit between 21-30 years.

2. Candidates should have got 60% aggregate from a recognized university (some banks may ask 55% aggregate).

3. Candidates must have a knowledge of computers and must be familiar with MS office.

If you satisfy these rules,then you are eligible.

Yes you are eligible for the same. You will mostly be eligible for the nationalised sector. But after taking a Master sin Mass Communication going into the field of banking would mean deviation from what you have studied. You must be sure that you are selecting the stream based on your interest. If yes then you must prepare well for the exam.

the minimum percentage should be 55% to write a po exam...in your graduation .......

Age limit:

Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 30 years.

Eligiblity criteria are vary from banks to banks.

But to apply for bank po examination, you have to scored minimum 60% marks in your graduate degree and your age should between 21 to 30 years.

But some banks required only 55% marks in your graduation.

So, the eligiblity criteria are different for different banks.

So, i will suggest you, when you apply for bank po examination, then please read the notification carefully only then apply for the examination.

But, to apply for bank po examination, you have to scored atleast 60% marks.

For CLERK in Bank:

Age limit:

Minimum 18 years – Maximum 28 years for general category

For physically handicap 10 years

Educational Qualification: 12th passed or equivalent with 55%.

sorry dear,

as per my knowledge, you should get 55% above in your graduation.
but for sc/st/ obc it is 50% above.
But you have 45%. so ofcourse you are not eligible for the exam...

P.O. - Probationary Officer, the exam for which is generally conducted by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) for 19 Public Sector Banks.

As you are having Graduation Degree and above, you are eligible for Bank P.O. exam conducted by SBI and IBPS as there is no percentage of marks criteria in any level of education, only a pass in Graduation is sufficient to apply for the same.

Eligibility for SBI/IBPS P.O. Exam:-

-The eligible candidate must be an Indian National.
-Should have completed Graduation Degree or above in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.
-Should be a computer literate one.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview.

Some private banks required percentage of marks as a criteria 60% or more marks in Graduation Degree in order to apply for P.O. exam conducted by their respective banks.

sir i have scored 55% in graduation and 76.6% in post graduation. Am i eligible to apply ssc and my age is 29 .
