Dear Sir/Madam, I did my B.Tech(Electrical) with 59.80% marks but the minimum requirement for the post of AE-Trainee in UPPCL is 60% marks, am I eligible for the post?

Bachelor degree in

• Civil Engineering

from an University OR from an Institute established under the law of Uttar Pradesh or from
any other Institution recognized by State Government or a degree or diploma recognized as
equivalent thereto by the State Government..

• General and OBC candidates should have minimum 60% marks in aggregate
• and SC/ST category with minimum 55% aggregate marks
• and physically handicapped with minimum of 40% aggregate marks

yours case is in border may or may not they accept your form so better to apply and i think you have 75% chances of acceptance....as 59.8 is equivalent to 60%..


Age : must be Minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years as on 01-01-2011..

If you fulfil the below mentioned criteria then you are eligible for the post of AE-Trainee in UPPCL with 59.80% marks.

Eligibility for UPPCL Exam for AE Trainee Post: -

1. For General & OBC Candidate = Pass B.E. or B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engg. or Mechanical Engg. or Computer Science Engg. or Electrical Engg. with a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks from a recognized Institute / University.

2. For SC / ST Candidate = Pass B.E. or B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engg. or Mechanical Engg. or Computer Science Engg. or Electrical Engg. with a minimum of 55 % aggregate marks from a recognized Institute / University.

3. Nationality - Indian

4. Age - 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates, 21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates and 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates.

NOTE: - A candidates appearing in the final year can also apply for UPPCL exam.

well most of companies don't let people do round off so it mean that you are not eligible

i m the student of final year last sem electrical engg. & it will complete on may end, i have 68% till now is i m elegible for A.E. in uppcl 2011 as an appearing candidate.

i am btech electrical with 54% am i eligible for junior engineer in uppcl exam

Dear Because you are in general Category you need to be get more marks as comparative to SC/ST because its indian politics .In india all person are not equally Indian politics itself divide all indian by distinguish by this way.
