Re: Am I eligible for bank post after scoring 59.5% marks
I will not recommend banking exams. You are only eligible for the Bank Clerk post which is not recommended for the Engineering graduate. Its better to apply for jobs related to your course.
You can apply for the Indian Engineering Service exam if completed Bachelor of Technology in the following branches. Mechanical Electronics and Communication Civil Electrical Although the job in Public Sector Undertaking will not be possible due to less than 60 percent marks, you can definitely apply for job in private companies. While the big companies may not offer you job but the SME would certainly offer jobs. A lot would depend on how much you have scored in 10th and 12th as well. If you have maintained at least 60 percent marks in both these classes then even company like Infosys can hire you. In banking sector you can apply for the Clerk exam. Unfortunately the percentage required to appear for SBI PO and IBPS Bank PO is at least 60 percent which is more than what you have obtained. IBPS Clerk entrance exam is conducted for the 19 Public Sector Banks therefore you can apply for this exam with your graduation degree. However you should be able to meet the following criteria. IBPS Clerk Eligibility 1. Nationality of candidate must be Indian else can't apply. 2. Bachelor degree from any recognized college. 3. There is no percentage criteria for IBPS Clerk. 4. You should also have diploma/degree in Computers. 5. If Computers/IT subject was part of 12th/graduation that would be fine as well. 6. Age limit is 20 to 28 years for the exam. 7. It is relaxed by 3 years for OBC. 8. Five years relaxation for SC/ST. 9. PWD candidates get 10 years relaxation. Participating Banks Allahabad Bank Andhra Bank Bank of Baroda Bank of Maharashtra Bank of India Central Bank of India Canara Bank Dena Bank Corporation Bank Indian Overseas Bank Indian Bank Punjab National Bank Oriental Bank of Commerce Syndicate Bank Punjab & Sind Bank United Bank of India Union Bank of India Vijaya Bank UCO Bank |
