Re: Am I eligible for Bank Exams having scored 57% of marks in Intermediate with PCM stream?
It is possible only of you are SC/ST candidate, otherwise I am afraid that you fell little short of the required percentage to appear for Banking Exam. The exam I am talking about is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Clerk exam.
This exam is conducted to fill vacant clerk level jobs in 19 Public Sector Undertaking banks. You may recognise them as government banks. The 19 PSU jobs who participate in this exam are: Allahabad Bank Andhra Bank Bank of Baroda Bank of India Bank of Maharashtra Canara Bank Central Bank of India Corporation Bank Dena Bank Indian Bank Indian Overseas Bank Oriental Bank of Commerce Punjab National Bank Punjab & Sind Bank Syndicate Bank Union Bank of India United Bank of India UCO Bank Vijaya Bank The candidate who has completed 12th is only eligible to appear for the IBPS Clerk exam. Here are the requirements. Eligibility: You need to pass Class 12th in any stream from a recognised board. To be eligible for IBPS Clerk Exam, you need at least 60 percent marks in 12th. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC category need 55 percent marks. This is why I said that it depends on whether you belong to reserve category. If you do then its great, but if you don't and still want a banking job then you have two options. 1. Appear for the 12th Improvement Exam and improve your percentage by 3 percent to make it at least 60 percent. 2. Do a graduation course in any stream from a recognised university and then apply for the IBPS PO Exam which is for Probationary Officer / Management Trainee jobs in PSU banks. The choice is yours. |

Re: Am I eligible for Bank Exams having scored 57% of marks in Intermediate with PCM stream?
IBPS has raised the qualification for Clerical Cadre to Graduation Level.
You are 10+2 pass hence you can’t apply for IBPS clerical and PO examination. You have to complete Graduation if you want to appear for IBPS examination. So take admission in a good Degree college and complete your Degree and then apply for Bank Examination. You can apply for other examination which are 10+2 level like SSC CHSL, SSC Stenographer etc. You can also apply for NDA examination if you wish to join Indian Army as an officer. If you have done your 10+2 with physics and mathematics then you can apply for SCRA examination conducted by UPSC. In all the government jobs you have to appear for the examination and beat other competitors for the job. So be prepared for the examination if you really want t a government job.
