Am I eligible for bank PO after doing bachelor in IT and management


Sir,I have done Bachelor in Information Technology and Management (B.I.T.M) IInd year .Am i eligible for bank PO.

There are mainly two types of PO exam:
  1. IBPS PO exam
  2. SBI PO exam

Eligibility and Criteria:


A candidate should be a graduate or equivalent. The same should be in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum requisite of 65% average mark for general category 60% for other classes is a must.

A candidate selected for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) must also have knowledge about basic computer handling.

Age Limit should be between 21-30 years for general category...


Relaxation on upper age:


Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 35years

Other Backward Classes: 33 years

Persons With Disabilities: 10 years

Ex-Servicemen: 35 years

Candidates from Kashmir Division: 35 years


Exam Pattern:




Phase I:



Objective Test of English Language, General Awareness, Data analysis and interpretation, Reasoning (200 Marks)

Descriptive test of English Language (comprehension, small outline, article and letter writing) 50 Marks


Phase II:



Group Discussion 20 Marks

Group Discussion (Rural) 10 Marks

Interview 30 Marks

Experience 10 Marks

The exam will be conducted in various centers in almost all parts of India.

Yes, You are eligible for Bank P.O. after Graduation in IT and Management.

P.O. - Probationary Officer exam for bank usually conducted by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) for 19 Public Sector Banks.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The candidate should be a Computer literate one.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview.

Some private bank required at least 60% or above marks criteria for bank P.O. exam.

Yes definitely you will be eligible for bank PO exam after completing your graduation.

Graduates in any discipline are eligible for bank PO examination . But age criteria must be satisfied if you want to apply.

Age limit for Bank PO exams is as follows:

-For General category age should be between 18 to 30 years.

-For SC/ST 5 years age relaxation is available.

-For OBC 3 years age relaxation available.

-For PWD 10 years age relaxation is available.

The exam will be objective type and sectional cut off is there is the exam. negative marking will be there for wrong answer.


Personal interview will also carry marks and selection will be based on marks in paper and interview.

Yes you will be eligible for appearing for Bank PO but after completing your degree in IT and Management.

You can appear for IBPS PO ans SBI Assistant Exam.

The eligibility you will be required for appearing in this exam is as follows:-

>>In order to appear for the IBPS PO exam your minimum age should be 18 year but for SBI Your minimum age should be 21 years.
>>Your age should not be above 28 years.
>>Your degree should be approved from the UGC/AICTE or its equivalent.
>>Your minimum percentage of marks in Graduation should be 60%.

If you will cross the above age limit then also you will able to appear for this exam but only when you comes under the reserved category candidate.

The relaxation you will given is as follows:-

>>In case of SC/ST you will get 5 years.
>>In case of OBC you will get 3 years.

The syllabus for this exam is as follows:-

>>Analytical and Logical Reasoning.
>>Data Interpretation.
>>English Grammer.
>>Computer.
>>General Knowledge.

There will be total of 250 questions and each sections will include 50 questions.
In order to get selected in IBPS PO exam you will have to score above 160 marks.
