I'm belong to OC community aged 29 , single am i eligible for CBI/CID exam. Please provide me answer at earliest. If eligible syllabus & pattern of examination.

Yes , You are applicable for CBI exam because you are under OBC category.

To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CBI exam.(Criminology)

But your age should be in between 20 to 27 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen in India.

The Central Bureau Investigation(CBI),the base of administrative branch of India, provides the information relating to corruption in Central Government departments and Central Public Sector Undertakings which is directly or indirectly devoted for the Investigation, Anti Corruption, Economic Offences, Special Crimes.

Eligibility for appearing CBI exam :-
1) Age :-
Your's age must lie between :-
(a) 20 to 27 years for Assistant Grade & SIs in CBI
(b) 18 to 27 years for inspectors of CE/IT & Div. Acctts/Auditors/UDCs, etc.,
(c) 20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs on the first day of the August of the year of Examination.
The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of SC,ST,OBC.

2) Educational Qualification :-
You should have a degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

Eligibility for CID:-

To be a CID constable you require only tenth standard qualification.Qualification will depend on the level you want to join. For constables it is 10 plus2,for SI it is graduation and also for officer it is graduation. For SI/officer level you have to qualify competitive examination.In case you qualify civil services examination and get entry in IPS you can get posting in CID.

Yes,you are Eligible to appear in this Exam,if you belong from the OBC Category.

In order to appear in this Exam,you will need to fulfill these Eligibility:-

Educational Qualification:-

>>You must be Graduation Pass out in any stream from recognized university.
>>Your degree should be approved from the UGC.

Age Relaxation:-

As your present age is 29 years.you will be eligible to appear in this Exam by age Relaxation Facility.You will get age Relaxations of 3 years from Government of India.

Thus you will be eligible to appear in this Exam,till the age 31 years.

Marks:-

>>If you belong from the General/OBC category then your minimum marks should be 60%.
>>If you belong from the SC/ST category then your minimum marks should be 50%.

Exam Pattern:-

>>Preliminary Exam (Objective type).
>>Mains Exam (Written Exam).

Exam Syllabus:-

>>Logical Reasoning.
>>Elementary Mathematics.
>>English Grammar.
>>General Knowledge.

Total duration for this Exam will be 2 hours.
Total number of questions will be 200.

Iam sorry to say this you are not eligible for CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation), because you are crossed the age limit. The maximum age limit for OBC candidates is 27 years.

Yes you are absolutely eligible for the CBI Examination if you belong to OBC Category and your present age is 29 years.

The Staff Selection Commission Conducts the Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination through which successful candidates join the CBI.

The Eligibility Criteria required for Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination are :
