Yes it will cause a problem. If u don't have necessary documents to show that you belong to OBC then you may end up taking admission in GENERAL category. |

i belong to the OBC category in west bengal , and have a certificate issued by state gov i.e subdivisional officer ( SDO) of of my domicile district. does it hold good
to appear in NET CSIR in the OBC category ? i doubt as the NET form says we should have a certificate from the D.M ( central authority ) its an eyewasher from the govt to falsify us as it wont help us anyway in long run to apply for any central exams or any recruitment processes of the centre.. then whats the use of it to declare us OBC .. so neigther we belong to general nor to OBC ! so funny !... please do reply. |

Community Certificate is a proof that declares you that you belong to such caste.Though you are OBC but according to the Govt only those candidates are entertained in such category who are exempted from the creamy layer.A creamy Layer is the one whose annual income is above the below poverty line & if you are in a creamy layer then you will be regarded as a General Category student.
So it is advisable to you to first make it a confirmation & then only fill the Form meant for you. |

Hi, its really great that you are applying for CSIR program. Your application withour OBC certificate is acceptable but you have to give in written to the institute that you will submit it on or before the date prescribed by the institute, failing to which your admission will be cancelled. So, get into the program and also apply for OBC certificate in the collector office to get it soon hence, avoiding the cancellation of your admission in future. All the best.
