You did not mention whether you are a candidate of finished your ECE course or pursuing ECE course. if you have completed your ECE course or if you are a candidate having appeared for final year exams of ECE course and waiting for the results, then you are eligible for civil services examination.
Let me throw you some light on civil services examiation. This examination is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year. One can join into various civil services like -IAS -IPS -IRS by cracking this civil services examination. To be placed in any of the civil services, the selection procedure by -CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) -Civil Services Main Examination -Interview. Here is the eligibility criteria for civil services examination. Academic Qualification : -One should have completed Graduation from a recognized university with any of the stream. -Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of graduation course and waiting for the results can also apply. Age criteria : -Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST. The upcoming civil services examination is going to be conducted on 20-05-2012. If you are interested, you can appear for this exam. Here is the official website of UPSC. after completion of your b.tech in ECE course, you are eligible for all civil services examinations,conducted by UPSC(UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION) every year. for appear in these exams(IAS/IPS/IFS/IRS) , you must possess the bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized college. the age limit for these exams are 21-30. there are 5 years of relaxation for sc\st candidates. 3 years of age relaxation for OBC candidates. these exams hae three stages to be clear to crack the exams.- 1. definitely you are eligiable for the Civil Services Exam being a candidate of ECE. as every graduate holders are eligiable for the UPSC civil service exam. through the civil service exam UPSC recruit the given below officers >>IAS >>IFS. >>IPS. >>IRS. etc. and eligibility criteria for the Civil Services Exam are like given below >>minimum degree qualification recognized by the UGC/AICTE. >>age criteria are 21-30 years for general category holders. etc. all the best........ |

Yes,ECE graduate is eligible for civil services exam.You should have minimum 60% in academics and you should completed graduation in any recognised university.The civil services exams like IPS,IAS,IES,NDA,FCI,NAVY and many more central government jobs.

ECE candidates are eligible for the Civil Service Exams. Civil Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Yeah sure to do civil service examination candidates must have any graduation from a recognized university. Various Civil Service Examinations: 1.Indian Administrative Services (IAS) 2.Indian Forest Services (IFS) 3.Indian Police Services (IPS) 4.Indian Revenue Service 5.Indian Postal Service,Group A 6.Indian Railway Traffic Service,Group A Eligibility criteria for Civil Service Examination: Candidates have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university. Final year students also eligible for this examination There is no percentage required for this examination Age limit Candidates should be between minimum 21 years and maximum of 30 years. Age relaxation: A maximum of three years for OBC candidates A maximum of five years for candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste(SC) or a Scheduled Tribe(ST). Number of Attempts: The number of attempts a candidate can give the exam is limited as follows: Four attempts for General category candidates and OBC Category candidates under the Creamy layer Seven attempts for OBC category candidates No limit of attempts for SC/ST Candidates. Selection Process: This selection process is based on three phases: 1.Preliminary examination , 2. Mains exam 3. Interview. Preliminary Examination: This exam is held in May/June every year. Notification for this published in December/January Results are published in the first half of August **Preliminary examination consist two papers of Objective type(MCQ). For all the Civil Services Examination in India you must have degree in any stream if you are graduate in ECE then you can apply for these services age limit 21 to 30 reserved categories are given relaxation of 3 yrs Good Luck |
