I am planning to get a job in Governament/Civil Services or any related.
Please tell me whether I am eligible or not for Civil Services. iam 34 years old and general category men.

Sorry to say that, you are not eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination, because you are not fulfill the age Eligiblity criteria and to apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years (If you are belong to general category).

For general candidates, No age relaxation is applicable and you have more than 30 years, so there is no chance to apply for UPSC Civil services examination and Many other Government Examination.

So, You cant apply for Civil services examination because you are More than 30 years of age and to apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates. There are 5 Year relaxation is applicable for SC/ST Candidates and 3 Year relaxation is applicable for OBC Candidates.

So, please apply for other examination in which you have fulfill the age Eligiblity criteria because you are not eligible for UPSC Civil services examination and for more Information check the official UPSC website -

Dear friend,

You are not eligible for Civil Service Exam because your age should be crossed 30 years which is the criteria for general Category.

If you are belongs fron SC/ST category then you are applicable.

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for Civil Service Exam exam.

But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen in India.

The Civil Service Exam selection process is consist in three way

1)Preliminary exam
2)Main exam
3)Inter View.

You can not apply for Civil Service exam at the age of 34 years as for general catagory candidate the age limit is 21 to 30 years of age and SC/ST there is age leraxation of 5 years and for OBC it is 3 years. But you can apply for UPSC exam as you are now eligible for that.

Eligibility criteria for Civil sevices exam exam is..

1. Graduation in any stream from a recognize university college.
2. The age between 21 to 30 years for general category Age relaxation is provided for OBC SC/ST candidates.
3. No. of attempt 4times OBC 7times abs ST/SC no limit.

Hello friend, no you are not eligible for civil service exams. upsc stands for union public service commission. It conducts exams for civil services in every year. The eligibility criteria:- educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university and age limit is 21 to 30years with general category. You are not eligible. Good luck
