Re: Am I eligible to do Law after passing inter in one sitting
For law course there is CLAT which stands for Common Law Admission Test. Those who are looking for pursuing a law course after 10+2 or Graduation can apply for this exam. 10+2 passed are eligible for BA LLB which is of 5 years duration and Graduates are eligible for LLM which is of 3 years duration.
For BA LLB course there is age limit and one need to be below 22 years of age. Although there is age relaxation for reserved category candidates. Hence, if your age permits then you are definitely eligible for CLAT. If not then you have to look for some other course in which there is no age limit. The entrance exam will be conducted for admission into Top 14 law universities of India and those who get good marks in CLAT will get admission into top colleges. Hence, you must be very well prepared for the entrance exam. The 14 National Law Universities which accept CLAT score are listed below. 1. NLSIU - Bangalore 2. NALSAR - Hyderabad 3. NLIU - Bhopal 4. WBNUJS - Kolkata 5. NLU - Jodhpur 6. HNLU - Raipur 7. GNLU - Gandhinagar 8. RMLNLU - Lucknow 9. RGNUL - Patiala 10. CNLU - Patna 11. NUALS - Kochi 12. NLUO - Cuttack 13. NUSRL - Ranchi 14. NLUJAA - Guwahati |
