m doing btech(1st year), jus want to know that m i eligible to give GATE exam in third year of my graduation?

yes of course you will be eligible to write gate exam in 3rd year and if you cracks it than there is one advantage with it is that gate score card remain valid for two years so start your preparation ...

Yes you are eligible to appear in gate in 3rd year.
In current eligiblity criteria.
It changes only once in year 2009 when only pre final year were not eligible.
But dont worry currently you are in first year so continue your engineering study with enthusiam.

Dear friend according to GATE elligibility criteria , you should have either passed your b.tech or are in last year. you are not allowed to appear in GATE in your 3rd year legally . but for experiance purpose,you can appear in it but remember you will not be allowed to take admission in M.Tech even after cracking GATE.

Yes you can write GATE exam any number of time you want even you can write in first year but since you didn't read all subjects so better to write in third year and

also GATE score will be valid for 2years..and if you are not satisfy then you can write it again till you get your satisfaction marks and

their is no age limit for GATE exam...

Yes you will be eligible for GATE when your in the third year itself since the GATE score card can be used for 2 years hence you can apply for councelling after completing your fourth year also.

Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

Definitely u can able to write the Gate exam in ur third year B.Tech,For Gate examination u have to do work hard, now u r in first year,May be now u r not having any idea about Gate as per my opinion, just build the knowledge in your subjects and prepare from first onwards,But don't postpone ur daily schedule.,definitely u can get the good rank in the Gate examination,All the best for u

hey yes you are provided you maintain a constant percentage of 60per and above.
make sure you don have any arrears,else you wont be allowed to take up the exam..
you have lot of time to prepare so start off...

U can write GATE exam in your fourth year and after clearing 4th yr.

As you are doing B.Tech and now you are in 1st year, you will able to appear for GATE Examination in your final or pre-final year.i.e., you can appear for GATE Examination in third year of your graduation. So, you have enough time to prepare for it. As you are in 1st year only you make your basic concepts regarding your discipline very strong from very begining. Its my advice for you to study well from right now so that you can crack GATE in the very 1st attempt, i.e., in third year itself. If you maintain your study, work hard you will definitely make it out.

you are eligible to write the exam in third year and your rank will valid up to 2 years,that means you can join in gate after completion of 4th year by using your rank

You are absolutely eligible for GATE examination in third year or your graduation.
During your third year 2nd sem you can write the exam.....I suggest you to take coaching before you write the exam as you know that it is very difficult to score marks in it

Yes sure you are eligible. But you need to have a deep understanding of your core subjects to crack the GATE. But doing after B.tech would be advisable.

GATE score valid for 2 yrs so you are eligible to give GATE on third year.

ya dear gate scorecard is valid for 2 yrs
so either u give the exam in 3rd year or 4th year it doesnt effect but be prepared to complete ur btech with minimum of 60% marks to take admission in good collage.

Yes you are eligible to give the GATE exam in the 3rd year of your graduation.
GATE is Graduate Aptitude TEst in Engineering and is conducted by the various IITs for admission to the post graduation program of IITS and IISC.

The minimum educational qualification is that you must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent from a recognized institution.
Students in the final and pre-final year may also apply.

Hi...yes you are eligible to appear for the exam while you are in 3rd year.You can sit for the exam when you reach 3rd year but the certificate of GATE is valid for only two years...You can start preparation from now onwards as its one of the toughest paper for graduates and also be attentive in class also as the question patterns will be similar to what you have studied in your B.E.If you concentrate well in your B.E then it will be easy for you to appear for this exam.You can refer to G.K.publication books also as it is having solved question paper.

Dear sagar,
now you are in your b.tech first year , so you are not eligible to write the GATE examination in your third year because , the GATE score is valid for two years only... so, if you write your GATE examination in final year it is better and it is valid after your completion of your b.tech....

Since you are still doing btech(1st year) continue doing it.
Write the exam after completing your btech.

Presently you are not eligible to give GATE exam in third year of the graduation.
Previously there is chance for writing the exam but now you don't have the chance for writing now the rules have changed 3rd year candidates are not allowed for the exam.

No your are not eligibel for GATE exam in third year.Only the students who are the final year are eligible for GATE exam.

You are not eligible for GATE in you 3rd year of engineering.Eligibility of GATE is bachelor degree in engineering,Students who are in the final year of their BTech also eligible for gate.But the student who are in 3rd year of their BTech are not eligible for GATE.Once before 2009 the student who are in the 3rd year of their BTech is also eligible for GATE ,but that rule is modified.So this modification makes not eligible the students who are in the 3rd year of their BTech.
But once you write the GATE ,this gate score is valid for 2 years.Within that span you can use this score for your higher graduation or any other purpose.
