Yes you are eligible for IAS entrance examination or which is officially called as UPSC Civil service examination.

The minimum eligibility requirement for IAS entrance examination is

->A degree from any discipline through a recognized Indian University.
->You should have minimum age of 21 years.

The maximum age limit is 30 years

if you are general candidate then the maximum limit for attempts is 4

as you already have many arts subjects in your core academic studies it is very good that you can easily select the optionals. as you have to select 2 optional subjects for the mains examination .

sorry forgot to tell you about the pattern of the examination
the pattern of the selection is three step procedure
->first is you have to clear a CSAT Entrance exam which is replaced in place of prelims
->Second is mains for which you have to select optionals as well as that you have to answer to few theory papers.
->third is interview which is conducted personally by 4-7 members which is conducted by UPSC through official authorized persons.

you can easily select them from your subjects as you are very familiar with them.

u are eligible for IAS if u have these subjects..but u should be a graduate to be able to give the exam and ur age should not be more than 30 years..the maximum number of attempts is 4..all the best

Yes ,you are eligible for IAS exam.

Only graduate candidate are eligible for IAS exam. You have just passed in 10 th or 12 the are eligible for IAS exam.

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:

Education qualification:

Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

Age eligibility:

For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 30 years
For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST category candidates,only minimum age is required i.e 21 years.

There is no restriction regarding the combination of subjects in +2 or in bachelors degree program to be eligible for the IAS exam.
The examination is known as civil service examination and to be eligible for it, you just need to hold a bachelors degree in any discipline.
However, the combination of subjects you mentioned will definitely help you in the examination.
Assuming that you will pursuing your degree program in Arts stream, it will be beneficial for you having those combination of subjects.

To crack civil service examination, you must have good command over the following subjects:
General studies
English
Essay Writing etc.

So, as you have mentioned that you are a student of class 12, you have got sufficient time to prepare for the exam and all you need to do is to follow the syllabus of the exam and refer previous years question paper.

of course, you are eligible for this exam called as civil services examination.conducted bt UPSC , you can apply within the age limit of 21-30 years for general candidates. as you have art as your main stream so you can easily choose your option subject. but you must have to complete your graduation, from any stream. the exam has three stage pre, mains & interview.

You have mentioned that you have done your 12th , so first complete the graduation, then think about IAS exam..

Friend for I.A.S exam you have to pass the graduation in any stream from recognized university.
If you pass the 12th class with Arts stream after that you have to do graduation course in any stream.

I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts
So you start your preparation from now onward.
So that you will not face problem latter.

You are in 12th and 12th is not the educational qualification for IAS.

The minimum educational qualification is a graduate.

Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years....the age is calculated on the basis of 1st of August of the year applying for it.
[33 years for Sc/ST]

and don't worry about your subjects in 12th, they are absolutely okay for IAS

So right now , focus on your board exam of 12th, the exams must be coming.

And after taking admission in a college in any stream you like, you can start preparing for IAS. When you will be on your final year of graduation, you can also apply for IAS at that time.
