I am a diploma holder in ECE. After finishing my10th, I joined Diploma. So can you say am i eligible for IIT JEE Exam?

of course u can but u can only take admission in first year as iits doesn't offers admission directly to second year

Information Regarding IIT JEE Examination.

First i inform you that there are no any lateral entry admission in the IIT and NIT college. So, you can not take admission in the direct 2nd year in IIT college. If you want to appear in the IIT JEE then you can appear in the IIT JEE but if you are selected then you will be eligible for the admission in the 1st year engineering course not in the 2nd year.

NOTE :- Maximum two attempts are permissible in a consecutive year.

sorry to say that but you are not eligible for this examination(IIT-JEE), because maximum two attempts are permissible in a consecutive year after completion of10+2 examination

for this exam you must have to pass 12th class with the subjects PHYSICS MATHS, CHEMISTRY, and passed with minimum 60% in.

Yeah you can apply for the IIT JEE exam after doing your diploma in ECE.

As you have asked whether you are eligible for the IIT-JEE exam,i have mentioned the details below for your reference.

Eligibility:

1. The education qualification needed is a pass in +2 with 60% aggregate.For SC/ST it is 55%.
2. The candidates must have done their higher in science stream with PCM
3. The candidates must have born on or after October 01, 1980 are eligible for the exam.
4. For SC/ST and PD candidates the upper age limit for them is 5 years from the prescribes limits.
5. The candidates must submit their physical fitness certificate.

The exam consists of 2 stages namely:
1. Screening Test.
2. Main exam.

The candidates who qualify the screening test will be eligible for the main exam.

Eligibility for IIT-JEE :-

1.The candidate must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board with physics ,chem and math.

2. You must score 60% above in 12 th.

If you fulfill the above criteria then you are eligible for IIT-JEE.

there is no facility to get a direct entry in the IIT colleges.
you have to enter in Ist year. there is no other chance available.

Hello friend,
If the diploma course pursued by you was of 3 years duration and recognized by AICTE, you are eligible to write IIT joint entrance examination.
Apart from this, you must have qualified the examination of your diploma program with a minimum of 60% marks. If you belong to SC/St category, you will be eligible with a minimum of 55% marks in the same.

i am so sorry but the minimum eligibility to appear in IIT-JEE is to get 60% aggregate marks in ur 12th boards but since u have not given ur 12th board exams so u can't appear for IIT-JEE..there is also no lateral entry to IIT..u can try to get into a good college through lateral entry exam of that particular college..except for NITs and IITs

see, you can't get admission in IITS through the JELET exam.

lateral entry process is not applicable for IIT admission purpose.

you get can admission in IITs only through the IIT-JEE exam.

I am in second year of my diploma course, i had appeared for iit jee in the year 2009 the same year i had passed my 2 with pcm 57%. my age is 21.
can i appear for iit jee 2012. I also would like to know that when is the screening test held and when is the main exam held.

IIT-JEE exam is one of the prestigious engineering entrance exam of India. It is conducted every year jointly by IITs. It is commenced in the month of April for admission to various UG courses of engineering offered by them.

It is considered as one of the toughest exam. As selection ratio of this exam is 50:1. To be eligible for this exam, one must have:

• Passed 10+2 with at least 60% or above marks.
• Must have opted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2.

However, if you are a Diploma Holder then you are also eligible for IIT-JEE exam. You may not take admission directly in Second Year of Bachelor's Degree of ECE in IIT. But you can take admission directly in II Year in Private colleges. For this, you will have to appear for Lateral Entrance Exam that is conducted by State Government.
