Am I eligible for IIT JEE if my present age is 14 in 11th?
my present age is 14 im in class 11th will i be eligible for the exam iitjee 2013 or cani appear with age 15years in iitjee

As for now you first need to be in 12th standard with Physics Chemistry and Maths as your subjects.
Must clear the 12th board with at least 60% marks. As an answer to your question there is no lower age bar for IITJEE so you need not to worry about your age . According to the latest IITJEE declaration . The age criteria is as under : General (GE) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1987. Those born earlier are not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE 2012. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and those with Physical Disability (PD) must have been born on or after October 1, 1982. Sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for JEE examination right now but you will be once you complete your senior secondary education .
JEE stands for Joint Entrance examination and is conducted and controlled by Central Board of Secondary Education once in a year . The examination is conducted in two phases out of which first stage is called as JEE Mains and the second stage is called as JEE Advance . The minimum criteria required for appearing in this examination are as :- You must have done your 12th or reading in 12th with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics as your main subjects from a recognized school/college .Also you must secure at least 50% marks in each mentioned subjects . Your age must be within 17 years to 25 years till the 31st of December of that year in which you are appearing in the same examination . So you should first go for your senior secondary course and then go for your goal for which you have 3 consecutive chances at maximum . |
