IAS Examination Was Conducted By UPSC. The Notification Was Availiable In The Official Websites Of UPSC. To Appear In IAS Examination, Your Age Should Between 21 To 30 Years. Age limits : 21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice). there is no relxition for general candidate. |

Age limit for IAS exam are-
1. A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. 2. The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below: a. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST. b. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes. so, its clear from the above that no age limit reduced for general catogery. |

for Indian Administrative Service(IAS) you have to appear in civil service examination.
the age eligibility criterion for civil service examination is candidate should have age between 21 to 30 as on 1st August, 2011 for general category candidate i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990. but for Sc/ST candidate there are age relaxation of 5year in upper age limit. for OBC candidate there are 3 years of age relaxation in upper age limit. the form fill up civil service examination is going on. to apply online for civil service examination visit the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in before form fill up visit the website http://www.upsc.gov.in for more information about the examination. the last date to apply for the examination is 21st March, 2011. here i am attaching the notification for civil service examination 2011. go through the attachment for more eligibility criterion and the syllabus for the examination. best wishes. |

To become an IAS, you have to appear for the Civil Service exam conducted by the UPSC for the Central Government of India.
*Now the minimum eligiblity requires a candidate to attain minimum 21 years of age as on 1st August of the year of the exam. *The upper age limit for General category candidates is 30 Years. While the same is relaxed upto 33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST. Also, general Category candidates can apply only 4 times, while OBC can apply 7 times and SC/St have no limit. Your doubt is not unfounded.
Administrative Reforms Committee of UPSC has indeed given suggestions for reducing the age of candidates to Central Administrative Tribunal. In due course of time, the tribunal will scrutinize the suggestion and if found valid, it will be put in force. But as of now, the current age range of 21 to 30 years holds good. |

Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute / university. 2. Age - 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates, 21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates and 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates. 3. IAS exam is a standard and well known exam , which conducted by upsc that is union public service commission. The notification are made available on the official website of upsc that is www.upsc.gov.in .The qualification in terms of age for appearing in this exam is as follows :
(1)FOR GENERAL CATEGORY STUDENTS- 21 to 30 years . there is no provision of relaxation in terms of age for general category students. (2)FOR OBC CANDIDATES-There is a provision of relaxation upto 3 years for obc students. (3)SC/ST CANDIDATES-For sc/st candidates the relaxation is available upto 5 years. SO THERE IS NO PROVISION OF AGE RELAXATION FOR GENERAL CATEGORY STUDENTS . RELAXATION ARE AVAILABLE FOR ONLY OBC AND SC/ST CANDIDATES. Such candidates will have to provide a certificate from the Ministry of Defence stating that they can apply for civil employment and they will be released on a notice of 3 months, upon selection, from the date of receipt of offer of appointment. g. upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates. Preliminary examinations The prelims are held around May-June.It has objective ie multiple choice questions. The age limit for IAS i.e. the UPSC CSE exam
stands unchanged. GEN 30 years 4 attempts obc 33 7 attempts SC/ST 35 any no. of attempts. minimum age limit is 21 years for all the categories. The ages are as on 1st of august of the year of exam. |

No age limit is not reduced for general category candidate.
It is still 21 to 30 years. The no. of attempts allowed for general category student is 4. Also you should be a graduate or should be in final year of graduation. You may visit the following website for more details related to it: http://www.upsc.gov.in In case if you are interested in applying for it this year then you can submit the form before 21st March 2011. You can fill the forms both online & offline. You can get the form from any GPO throughout india by paying 30/- Rs. Exam for it will be held on 12th June 2011. CSE = Civil Service Examination.
this is the exam conducted for the candidates all over india for placing them into different services. this exam is conducted by UPSC. the UPSC board is very particular about age limit of the candidates they made perfect rules and regulations to the candidates. who are appearing for the exam. the age requirements for CSE is. min age limit is 21 years. max age limit is 30 years for the general category.. no more reservations regarding any category.. hope you got your doubt cleared.. all the best ~aditya~ |

IAS exam is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission ) every year.
In order to be eligible for the exam, one should be in the following age group. -For general category : 21-30 years. -For OBC, relaxation upto 3 years. So maximum age limit is 33 years. -For SC/ST category, there is relaxation upto 5 years. So maximum age limit is 35 years. There is no relaxation at all for the candidates of General category. |

the age limit for the IAS exam conducted by the UPSC is about 21 - 30 years for the general category candidates and there is the upper age relaxation for the OBC and the SC/ST candidates for the OBC there is an age relaxation of 3 years and for the SC/ST there an age relaxation of the 5 years ... and the age limit for the general category students remains the same till date there is no change in it ...... |

The UPSC board is very particular about age limit of the candidates they made perfect rules and regulations to the candidates. who are appearing for the exam. the age requirements for CSE is. min age limit is 21 years. max age limit is 30 years for the general category.. no more reservations regarding any category.. hope you got your doubt cleared.. all the best |

IAS -Indian Adminstrative Services. This exam IS conducted by UPSC every year. For this you must have a gradution degree. The age limit for IAS exam is different for different candidate which are AS follow:- 21-30 year for general 21-33 year for obc 21-35 year for sc/st candidate all the best |
