Being a student of BCA from NSOU you are eligible for writing the IPS Exam to join in as a IPS officer only after completing BCA. As the education qualification needed for the IPS exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university. There are other criteira's which are needed to be satisfied in order to apply for the IPS exam. And to tell about the IPS Exam it is one of the Indian Civil Service exam and is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is held every year. HELLO DEAR
To become IPS officer, you have to write Civil service exam conducted by UPSC. To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course from a recognised board and your age should between 21 to 30 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. IPS is one of the All India Allied services provided, once you clear this exam. The post highly competitive among aspirants. Designations like DSP, SP , Commissioner are given to passouts after training for IPS. After selection, you will be trained for two in IPS academy in Hyderabad. The notification of CSE Examination is going to be published soon next year in the month of February and eligible candidates may fill the application form online only. No, offline application form facility is applicable for any candidates in this examination. The examination is conducted in 2 stages, preliminary and Mains, Firstly, you have to cracked the preliminary examination, this is objective and there are two papers in this examination. If you cracked this stage, then you are eligible for Mains. The main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the optional subjects for Main examination. You have to prepared for this examination as per the pattern and syllabus, only then you will be able to cracked this examination, If you face any problem then you can join some good coaching classes. Yes you are eligible for IPS exam as it is necessary to have any degree of a recognized University, or equivalent. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs . Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. Thanks..... |

YES, you are eligible to apply for the IPS post
But first you have to complete your Graduation Also you have to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Exams UPSC Civil Services Exams are held in three stages: Prelims MAINS Interview Minimum eligibilty to apply for the UPSC Civil Services exams is: Education: Graduation pass in any stream from a recognized university No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation Age- Minimum 21 years Maximum 30 years OBC can apply till 33 years SC/ST can apply till 35 years Attempts/Chances: UPSC has also fixed number of attempts General- 4 times OBC-7 times SC/ST-No Restrictions |
