my age is 18 and my height is 172 is it eligible for joining indian army.
i am in need of this.

NDA Exam is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year. One can join into
-Army wing
-Navy wing
-Airforce wing through this exam.

-One should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years and one should have completed 12th to be eligible for NDA Exam.

In addition to this criteria, one should have to meet phsycial standards to join Indian Army.

I won't say that you are not eligible to appear for NDA Exam as you are having 18 years of age.

And even there is no problem at all with your height of 172 cm. As per your height, your weight should be 55kg to 57kg. Then you can best meet your physical standards requirement for NDA Exam.

As your age is 18 and your height is 172 cm,on these basics the criteria of Indian Army is satisfied.But you have to complete your 12th standard and also have to be passed NDA exam.Because through NDA you will join the INDIAN ARMY.

How To Join Indian Army

In order to join the Indian Army..you need to clear the NDA (NAtional Defense Academy) exam which is held twice every year in the months of April and August..

Eligibility Criteria for NDA

1) You should be a 12th pass out in any stream for the army wing..

2) You should be in the age limit of 16.5-19 years

Apart from these..you should be physically fit and should have a perfect eyesight..

Your height is fine..

You need to first clear the written exam..then the interview and then the medical examination..

you can join Indian Army with 173 cm of height and 18 years of age.

Age criteria :Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years.

Height criteria :Your height should be minimum 165 cm.

Of course, you can appear for the NDA [NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY], conducted by the UPSC [UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION],.
Through this exam, one can apply for all the combat forces of the India .i.e Naval wing, Air force wing, & Military branch.
