My dob is 16 June,1998. So am I eligible for NDA-1 exam 2017 at this age or not? Please calculate properly, then tell me.

NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year. The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in defence service.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board and age limit is between 16.5-19.5 years. Only male candidates are eligible to appear for examination.

For NDA 1 the application form is closed. Candidates born between 2nd July 1998 and before 1st July 2001 are only eligible.

Candidate born not before 2nd July, 1998 and not later than 2nd July, 2002 were eligible for NDA I examination. The last date to apply for NDA 1 exam of 2017 is already over and now you need to wait for NDA 2 notification.

As per your age limit, you will be eligible to apply for NDA 2 examination. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for NDA examination. Important dates for NDA I exam:

Application started from 18th January, 2017 and last date to register was 10th February,2017. You can not apply for NDA I but you will be applicable for NDA II whose starting date of application is 7th June, 2017.

NDA refers to National Defense Academy and to join the same one has to qualify NDS entrance examination which is held twice every year i.e; once in April and once in September by UPSC.

As far as you are concerned about the age limit for NDA I 2017 which is scheduled to be held on 16th April 2017 then for appearing in same candidate must have born in between 2st July 1998 to 1st July 2001 ( both dates are inclusive ).

So having born on 16th June 1998 you are not eligible for appearing in NDA I 2017 examination.

As per age criteria, you are eligible for NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam.

Candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam. Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years.
