Hello Sir, I am Abhishek Jain and I am 18 years old. I want to apply for NDA exam but I am able apply for the test. Kindly tell me with this age to become eligible to apply for NDA exam? Please tell me asap!

Yes, you are eligible to apply for NDA examination at the age of 18 years. Candidates who have attained the minimum age of 16 1/2 years and those who have not crossed the maximum age of 19 years are eligible to apply for NDA examination.

To be eligible to appear in NDA examination, you should have completed 12th standard or equivalent in any stream from a Government recognised board. Other eligibility criteria that you need to fulfill to be eligible to appear in NDA examination are specified below :_

--> You should be an Indian National.

--> You should be an Unmarried Male Candidate.

--> You should be Physically as well as Mentally healthy.

NDA refers too National Defense Academy and to join the same you need to clear its respective entrance examination which is organized twice every year by UPSC and is commonly known as NDA I & NDA II respectively.

The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing in the same examination are as following :-

--> You must be an unmarried Indian male resident.

--> Your age must be in between 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

--> You must have completed your Class 12th or must be appearing in the final year of same with any stream of your choice from a recognized board.

--> You must have physical fitness as per the service requirement norms as discussed in the notification of same examination.

So being 18 years old you are eligible for appearing in the same examination if you satisfy all the other eligibility criteria too.

The eligibility criteria for NDA entrance examination:

1. You must have done 10+2 from a recognized board. For Navy and Air Force, physics and mathematics in 10+2 is necessary and for Army, you are eligible to apply for any stream in 10+2.

Candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

The age criteria for a student to be able to give the NDA exam and join it is that the student mus be between 16.5 - 19 years of age.
