You can apply for the National Eligibility Test but not based on the Master of Business Administration. Your marks in MBA are not enough to be eligible for the National Eligibility Test. Unless you belong to SC/ST, you can not appear for the NET with Master of Business Administration degree.

However it is possible to apply for the National Eligibility Test through the M.Phil degree since marks are sufficient enough in it. You can appear in June or December for the NET entrance exam.

There are 3 written tests in the National Eligibility Test which is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and College Lectureship. The exam is conducted by the University Grants Commission for central government colleges. For state government funded colleges you will have to appear for the State Eligibility Test.

NET Eligibility

1. Nationality should be Indian to apply.

2. Post graduation is the minimum qualification requirement.

3. Degree should have been completed with 55 percent marks.

4. SC/ST will have to score 50 percent marks in post graduation.

5. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

6. However these candidates should submit degree in 2 years.

7. Subject for the exam will depend on PG course.

8. The age limit is 19 years to 28 for the JRF.

9. Upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC.

10. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

11. To apply for lectureship you should at least be 19 years old.

12. There is no upper age limit.
