Eligibility For NET

The UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) which is held twice a year in the months of June and December is meant for only those candidates who are in the final year of their post graduation or already possess a post graduate degree..

So,yes you are definitely eligible for appearing for the NET exam..

You must have 55% or above (without rounding off) for General/OBC category students..

If you belong to SC/ST category then you must have 50% or above( without rounding off) in your post graduation..

If you are applying for the JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) then you should be less than 28 years on the 1st date of the month of the exam..

all the best..

With Warm Regards

Hello reema

Nice decision. After MBA you will be absolutely eligible to write NET exam. And don't worry I will give you all the details of NET exam.

NET - National Eligibility Test

You should have the following eligibility to appear for NET Exam.

There is no upper age limit for "Lectureship post"

You must be within 28years for "Junior Research Fellowship"(5years age relaxation for SC/ST,BC and PH Candidates)

If you are in Final year of your PG also eligible to write NET

So, even if you take M.Phil then after finishing it,you can write NET exam !!

You can sit for the National Eligibility Test if want to become lecturer in government college. There is no need to do M.Phil for that your MBA degree would be sufficient enough to apply for it.

You can apply for the National Eligibility Test during the final year of Master of Business Administration. However you should only do that if meeting the criteria to appear for the National Eligibility Test.

The NET is a national level entrance exam which is not just conducted for college lectureship but Junior Research Fellowship as well. It is conducted twice in a year. The next NET exam will be conducted in June which will be followed by another one in December.

Eligibility

1. Only master degree holders are eligible to appear.

2. However 55 percent marks are required in master degree.

3. SC/ST need 50 percent marks.

4. As mentioned you can appear during Final year.

5. But to avoid disqualification kindly ensure that you are meeting percentage and would be able to submit degree in 2 years.

5. Your subject for exam will be Management.

6. There is no limit on appearances.

7. The age limit for JRF is 28 years.

8. There is no upper limit for lectureship.
