Re: Am I eligible for NET exam in English subject?
NET stands for National Eligibility Test. UGC conducts this exam for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship in June and December. Candidates who have done master's degree from a recognized university with 55% or more can apply for exam.
In case of OBC and SC/ST candidates, there is 5% relaxation of marks. There is no upper age limit for lectureship, however for Fellowship it is 28 years. English post graduates can apply for NET exam but they must have required percentage of marks in master's degree. |
