I have average 64.8% in B.Tech. but the eligibility criteria is 65 % for some of Govt. exams such as NTPC, ISRO etc. Can i apply for the same ?

dear sorry but you may not apply for PSU since even 1 mark less than the eligibility criteria makes you ineligible to appear for the specific exam...
so choose another option dear...

better try for others..............

Unfortunately if the requirement is 65 per cent then it is the requirement , unless specifioed there is some relaxation in percent for SC/ST/OBC/PWD.

General Information on PSU !!

Requirements:

• B.E. /B.Tech. /B.Sc.(Engg.) – Degree required

• For final-year students, the final result of 8th semester and mark-sheets must be presented at the time of interview.

• Minimum cut-off % of B.Tech varies for different PSUs Gen. Category:-60%-70%; Reserved Category:-50%-60%.

• Some PSUs allow only present final year students and last two year pass-outs. e.g. NTPC

This is Very nice question, as you are in Doubt as you are Eligible or Not, just fill up the Form and wait for their application Submission. Whichever the Entry you are talking about and which requires 65% in B.E or B.Tech , just fill up the Form and wait for their Approval of your Form, if approved then Go for the Exam , if not then you know what to do. Go for other Exams.

for PSU exam , B-TECH are eligible but the percentage marks is varu from 60%- 70%.

so in maximum department you are eligible.

so you can apply for all PSU exam.

no and how can you apply if you know their eligibility criteria!

yes you are eligible for many good govt. companies.but psu like INDIAN OIL needs 65% marks in b.tech so you can not appear that psu.like this many companies are there who want this criteria...

Yes,you can eligible for PSU based companies of BHEL,NTPC,OIL,ONGC,SAIL,and PGIL

I have 64.8%marks obtained in btech,can i apply for ntpc,dvc,sail,bhel
