Am I eligible for SI post if my height is 168? What is the minimum criteria required? Can you please give me the information? I am not sure about the criteria which I need to know to plan on the next steps. Awaiting for the response.

As per my knowledge you are not eligible for Sub Inspector post.

Eligibility Criteria:- You should have a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age must be in between 20 to 25 years.

Physical Standards:- Minimum height should be 170 cms.

Chest size should be 81 cm.

Selection Procedure:- Written Test,Physical Test & Medical Test.

Yes you are eligible for SI post if you belongs to sc/st category.

Eligibility criteria for SI post:-

->Candidates have Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

->Age must be between 20 - 25 years

->HEIGHT is required Minimum 170 Cms.(167 for SC/ST)

->CHEST is Minimum 81 to 85 cms (with minimum expansion of 4 cms).

SI Recruitment is conducted by the SSC and there are certain requirements which are needed in order to appear for the SI recruitment and some of the major eligibility required are

• Should have attained 21 years at least and not exceed 30 years of age limit
• Age relaxations are also available for other categories of candidates such as SC|ST-5 years,OBC-3 years.
• Should have done graduation or degree from the respective discipline of study
• Candidates who are Men should have height at least 5.6 minimum and for women 152 cm.
• Candidates who are men should have chest 32'' unexpanded and 34'' expanded
• Women should not have less then 40 kp in weight.

These are the minimum requirements to be possess to appear for the SI recruitment.

SI stands for Sub Inspector.

Physical eligibility criteria for SI exam:

1. For male candidates:

Height: Minimum 170 cms.

Chest: 81-86 cms.

2. For female candidates:

Height: 152 cms.

If you are male candidates then you can not apply for exam and if female, you are eligible for post of SI
