sir,i am looking for application forms for the entrance exam of Merchant navy for cadet course
when are these forms be available on net & on which site?
And how to send these application form?

How to apply
The application form can be sending by a demand draft for Rs. 500/- towards cost of IMCAT Prospectus, drawn in favor of Block-12, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068.
The application also can be downloaded from the IGNOU OPENNET - Merchant Navy Entrance Test official website.

Admission Process
The Selection of the Candidate is based on Personal interview and written admission test. The Selection of the candidate is also based on the rules and regulation of the IGNOU OPENNET - Merchant Navy Entrance Test.

hey the form are available for online from april month itself..............you can find it in the official site of the institute in which you want to join........so just log on to those site and fill the form.........

Different institutes have different schedules for Application forms.

However, Sale of application forms statrs generally from Last of April or statr of May.

Sale of application forms of IGNOU one of the best place for B.sc (Nautical science) has been started and the last date for registration is 30.04.10, but you can register with late fees till 31 may.

can i join merchant navy with less then 60% in PCM ?

Minimum eligibility criyeria says taht having 60% aggregate is mandatory for general candidates.However, there is relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/PH some also offeres it for OBC candidates.

Some private institutes also offers admission below 60% but it is not advisable, tahts because there is chance of Fake or ealse.

67% in Class 12 is Okay, but you should require to score 60% in PCM also. Scoring in range of 55-60% is not the matter for getting there.

There is no such exception for that, except in case of SC/STcandidates. Some institutes have age relaxation, while some has %age relaxation for SC/ST candidate. 90% institutes have %aGE RELAXATION OF ABOUT 5% for SC/ST candidates.
