am b.tech computer student.am i eligible to take kas?some says cs students are not eligible to take up the exams huh?

Dear Friend

Graduates of all stream from a recognized university are eligible to appear
Indian Civil services/State Civil Services examination as far as the eligibility
as per educational qualification is concerned.

For state civil services you should be domicile of that state and you should have a
Graduation degree from a Govt. of India recognized university.

-->Yes you are Eligible for the Exam,if you have finished the Graduate Degree in Recognized University

-->you should knew Kannada language ,because there will be 150 marks from that language in Main Exam,you need to pass the Exam

-->you should have studied in Karnataka and domicile of the State

I am a Electronics and Communication Engineer interested to take up KAS exams but I am confused about selecting optional subjects for Preliminary Exam and Main Exam. Can I take electronics as one of the optional subjects?

Hi friends, i did my B.E Computer science with 67%. I'm this year passout(2011). Now i'm n a situation of waiting to take up my interviews in leading MNC.. But doing IAS is my aim from Childhood. I'm confused about my carieer. What can i do now?.. Frnds, any one give me a clear idea.

Dear pal,
KAS is Karnataka public service exam conducted by the Karnataka government for recruiting to the various posts in the government institution.
The eligibility required for the exam is graduation from a recognised university.The degree can be a 3 or 4 year course.
The seats are reserved as per the norms.
The age limit with in which you can apply for the exam is 30 years.It is relaxed to 33 for BC candidates ,35 for SC/ST candidates

Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS) exam is conducted by Karnataka Public Service commission. It is similar to the civil services exam for recruitment to the post coming under the group 1 & 2 Civil services post in the state of Karnataka.

Eligibility: must have graduation degree.

Age limit: 21-30 years. Relaxable for SC/ST/BT/BC candidates

This exam is conducted in three step :
1. Preliminary Exam (Objective type).
2. Main Exam (Written type).
3. Personality test : for final selection of candidate.

Sir i am pursuing BE last year in computer science. I have planned up to take up KAS or IAS exams and i have met coaching member staff also. Will i require to go for coaching or not?
And my main question is "What next after passing KAS exam?"
