sir i am currently doing my 2nd year engineering now and i am an IAS aspirant from beginning please help me out which would be the best books to study without going to coaching classes and guide me?

At first you will have to prepare yourself for the CSAT test.

For preparing any test one should know the syllabus of that exam, So i am here attaching the syllabus and sample for the CSAT test.

Thenafter qualifying this test you will be able for themain exam.

You said that you are the student of engg but didn't tell us that from which branch.

And you also didn't specify that from which subject you want to give the exam.

But yes for GS paper you should follow the news papers and current events.

you will have to choose two subects for main exam, you can opt math in one and other as per your interest.

firstly, the good knowledge of the present upsc syllabus is essential for the preparation for the exams.

the revised syllabus is enclosed in the attachment herewith.

the prelims is essential to be cracked to enroll for the next level.

u read every day newspapers for cracking the prelims too..

You can refer rs agarwal books,sakunthaladevi books and many other aptitude,reasoning ,puzzle books.

Best books are rs agarwal and sakunthala devi books,verbal reasoning and puzzle books,tnpsc books and some maths knowledge books.

I really appreciate your decision to become an IAS officer but there is no hurry to start your preparation at this time only

Just you complete your Degree now and then you can

Meanwhile

you should do these things so that they will help you when you start your original preparation

->Current affairs is also a very important section you should get updated in all areas like
politics ,sports ,entertainment and what not everything

->follow all the news paper daily's get updated with all the issues do the deep research and make some points and maintain some note book

this about the strategy that a year student must follow

When you perfectly start your preparation for IAS then

then the preparation plan must be like this

each and every individual will have different methods and techniques to achieve their respective goals..

-> You should strongly determine towards your goal..

-> You should also be hard working and also a smart planner of the preparation.

-> you should make smart plans according to the time

This is all about your strategy while studying your b.tech and after completing your b.tech. mean while concentrate on points what I have mentioned earlier.

well if you intend to do full fledged preparation

during your engineering days itself then first of all you

need to select your optional first of all,

Proper thinking must go into it, and you must select the

subjects in which you have the best command, and that interest you,

Well if you can crack it without any coaching classes then you need to maintain a good time table and set of good books.

You can prefer RS Aggarwal books for Aptitude,Reasoning and English.
For current affairs you must read Pratiyogta Darpan magazine.

Also you need to have NCERT books for the subjects that you will choose for the Mains.

Ofcourse the students of Computer are science are eligible for the civil sevices exams. These exams are conducted by UPSC every year. This can be divided into three main categories.

PAPER I:

First is Preliminary exam.

Syllabus:

Current Affairs, Vocabulary, Aptitude test

PAPER II:

Its a main exam.

Syllabus:

You have a choice to select any desired subject from the provided list of subjects.

Interview: Third is interview to check out the communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidate must be graduate in any stream from recognized University.

2. Must be citizen of India.

3. Age Limit: 21-30 years(3 year relaxation for OBC and 5 years for SC candidates.

No. of Attempts:

General: 4, OBC: 7, SC/STs: No limit
