Both Exams are different but comes under UPSC Exam.

IFS Exam

IFS i.e Indian Forest Service Examination You must have Any Degree from a recognized University with One of the subjects out of 25 Known subjects.

Attempts For IFS

General Candidates 4 Attempts , For OBC candidates 4+3 attempts & For SC/ST candidates No limit.

IAS i.e CSAT Preliminary examinations

It Consists of Two parts

a) General studies
b) Optional subject

General Studies Consists of Current events,History,Geography, Indian Polity and governance,Economic and Social development and General science.

Below are the Subjects through Which out of 25 you can Choose any One and you can Prepare according to your Previous Studies.

The study you have achieved till for that Subject is Sufficient enough.

IFS and IAS both conduct by UPSE but they are different exam;
here i am giving complete information about IFS and IAS EXAM,

UPSC IFS Exam Pattern:

IFS (Indian forest service) exam conducts by union public service commission -upsc once in a year IFS exam pattern details given below.

IFS Exam consists 2 stages

1) Written examination

2) Interview/Personality test

UPSC IFS Exam Eligibility Criteria: union public service commission -upsc conducts IFS (Indian forest service) examination once in a year. The notification releases in March and the exam conducts in July month.IFS Examination eligibility details has given below.

1) Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduation completed from the recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities.

Civil Services Exam Pattern Details

union public service commission upsc conducts civil service exam yearly once for the vacancies of IAS, IFS, IPS and the central Govt Jobs group A and group B. upsc civil services examination conducts of two successive stages.

Educational Qualification: The upsc civils examination appearing candidates must be a graduation completed from the recognized university.

Number of Attempts: The appear candidates of civils how many times may attempt details has given below.

General candidates: 4 attempts.

Sc, St Candidates: No restriction.

Other Backward Classes: 7 attempts
FOR BOTH EXAMINATION AGE ELIGIBILITY ARE SAME,

Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 year (As date given in Advt)

The upper age limit relaxations given below.

(a)The Age relax able for SC, ST’S candidates 5 years
