But, I will tell you that ypu can opt any board because all board plays equal weightage. Its true that the syllabus of State board are quite better than CBSE board and it also helps you to prepare well for competitive exams like AIEEE, IIT and Others. CBSE Board are easy as compared to State Board, but its hardly not matters that in which particular board you have study because after completing 12th, you have to go for Bachelor degree courses and for this you have to passed in your 12th examination with recognised board. So, Boards are not matters, the matters only candidates knowledge and performance. So There is no preference of Board to continue your study therefore you can pursue your studies in any school OR board of your choice. So, please dont worry, You can opt any board according to your choice and your preference. So please think and then decide which board is best for you. |

It is very best if tou choose the state syllabus as in many colleges the reservation for the state board students is more than the quota for the CBSE students. But this varies from state to state. Preparing for entrance exams does not need a particular board. But if you want a seat in a college within your state it would be slightly better if you opt for the state board syllabus as reservtions are more. But in what ever board you study in it is your interest dedication and willl to study which wil get you to a higher place. al the best.. |

Re: Which board to opt between state and CBSE board?
Hi,
In my view it is better to opt for CBSE why because, the syllabus in the CBSE is standard when compared to state syllabus and also the state syllabus was not perfectly designed.Through CBSE syllabus you can improve ur way of answering general questions. But if ur not interested it is better to opt state board.Opt for CBSE if u are hardworking person. |

Re: Which board to opt between state and CBSE board?
Dear pal, it is glad to see your interest . I think you are determined to get into the IIT then you need to write the entrance exam conducted by IIT. The difference between the two board is that the syllabus for the state board is framed by the state government while for the cbse it is by the central government. And in the cbse you will have little complicated questions in order to analyse your knowledge. If you chose cbse your chance of getting into IIT is more when compared to the state board. With state board also you can go for coaching centre to prepare for the exam

Re: Which board to opt between state and CBSE board?
I think you were a intelligent guy because you thought of your future well.on my view i suggest you to join cbse because you said that you going to join medicine after 12th this cbse is advanced when compared to state board which will help in continuing your medicine.but one thing i want to say as of your opinion doing cbse will not increase your total a lot because the question are unexpected.but many universities accept cbse as a standard one if you work hard in cbse really you will shine in the medicine field.
if you want to gain knowledge you can opt for cbse, or if you want more marks to get a definite medical seat opt for state board state or central don't lose your hard work and hope. |

Re: Which board to opt between state and CBSE board?
Hai, i completed 10th in a cbse( KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA) school. Iam planning to opt bio in 11th n 12th. My aim is to enter medical field. Now my doubt is that whether common entrance will come by the year 2014 or not... and also is there any quotas for people in their own state? My state is TN. So for instance if i write exam here will i have any reservation sort of thing?? Is it possible for me get premier medical colleges in my state itself if i study in cbse? Pls clear my doubt as soon as possible...
Thanks :) |

Re: Which board to opt between state and CBSE board?
Sometimes it creates confusion in student's mind that "Which board should I choose?"
But it doesn't matters. Companies during placements don't sees that from which board you had passed. They just see that from which college you had completed your undergraduation or graduation course. So, choose any board and perform well in Engineering Entrance Exam so that you can get good prestigious engineering colleges like NITs, IITs, etc. |

Re: Which board to opt between state and CBSE board?
State board are far better than CBSE board ,since state board has less number of copies to check as compared to CBSE board so they check these copies carefully.Though marking is slightly tough and hard as compared to CBSE,in CBSE marking is easy so students don't get knowledge inspite of getting good marks. Many students apply for jobs in their own state so if they have studied from their board then they will find it very easy .They will have a chance to get knowledge about their state in class 11th and 12th which will help them to job in their own state.

Re: Which board to opt between state and CBSE board?
Many of the candidates will get confused in choosing the kind of Board for their academic courses.
But to the best of my knowledge, it is always a good choice for the candidates to opt for Central Board rather than opting for State Board. CBSE is better than State Board in the following ways. -Better Academic syllabus. -Strong evaluation at the time of final exams. -offering percentile than percentage of marks for the candidates. Many of the candidates will think that CBSE syllabus is tough to study and not possible to get good percentage of marks. But CBSE Board will be given better preference at the time of Interviews and at the time of getting admission in universities as well. If you have the facility to choose between these two Boards, then better join under CBSE board. There is a scope for you to gain good subject knowledge and you can become master in the subject. Wish you all the best. |

Re: Which board to opt between state and CBSE board?
@Sai Pavan better choose Fiitjee why because many of the students in Fiitjee are likely to get a reservation in IIT. And also Fiitjee gives training for the students to face their entrance exams at a easy rate. I prefer FIITJEE. :)
