I'm a student of 11th standard of science stream. My aim is to become an engineer. Would you please suggest me which branch would be the best one? I'm also planning to go abroad after the completion of my engineering courses.So i would like to know which branch would be more demanding so that i a get good job.

Every branch is as good as any other. It totally depends on your strength, interest and motivation.

But on a absolute scale, like pay packages etc, following will be the most suitable order of trades

1. CSE
2. ECE
3. MECH
4. EEE
5. IT
6. AERONAUTICAL
7. CIVIL
8. BIOTECH

Rest branches are mostly of the same renumeration.

However I will advise you to go by your interest not by what your friends may choose or by peer or parental pressure.

According to me which branch you should take should totally depend on your interest and caliber. This will only help to succeed and perform well in that field.

THough talking in terms of packages and placement its definitely Computer science and electronics according to the current scenario.

First of all try to choose the branch in which u are really interested . If u study in that dept with real zeal and interest in that field , the career opportunities will be amazing irrespective of the dept .
Anyway in the present trend Mechanical is the best n evergreen branch in which career opportunities will be more both in the private and public sector .
The main point is for Mechanical Engineering Core jobs are very more as compared with any other branch and it is always evergreen .
So frn I suggest you Mechanical Field if you are interested .

First try to choose the branch in which you are really interested in and if you join the same as per interest , the career opportunities are yours . There are plenty of opportunities n jobs in any field if you are interested n passionate in that field .

Anyway as per my knowledge n current trend I suggest Mechanical Engineering is the best dept because the number of core companies n core jobs are more as compared to other departments . And also the opportunities in public sector is more for Mechanical and it is evergreen field with no fluctuations .

There is no single branch of Engineering which can stand out. Surely there are some good branches with good potential but at the end of the day you need to choose the stream depending on your interest.


For instance if your interest is in construction then go for Civil Engineering, if you want to design cars then go for Automobile Engineering. It is strictly based on ur interset.If you are interested in making softwares you take computerscience.If you are interested in communications or in producing electricity you better take ECE. If ur interested in how power managemnt takes place you better choose EEE.If you are interested in constructing houses I opt you to take CIVIL.If you are interested in making motors and vehicles manfacturing you better take MECHANICAL or PRODUCTION.If you are interested in making products like shampoos and other things related to that and in making medicines.If you are interested in research about microorganism then u should take BIOTECH.And if you are interested in making ROBOTS you can also go for ROBOTICS.Now-a-days robotics is also playing a good role in our lives.Instead of doing operations in deep parts of body we can use a "ROBOT" succesully completed that operation with our control.

look..nowadays nothing is stable.there are utter ups and downs in the job world,especially in engineering line. according to me,keeping today's level of market in mind,i think ECE that is Electronics and Communication Engineering stream will be better for your future.you can take up a mobile based company's job most likely.rest,the future decision is in your hands now.
