I am interested to do B.Tech Bio-Tech after passing XII with Physics,Chemistry,Biology & BioTechnology.
Is it possible to do so without Mathematics in XII level?
Please advise.

u can take a admission in B.Tech after complete B.Sc in biotechnology

no dear this is not possible. Mathematics is compulsry subject in engineering and without this you can not take admission in B.TECH(BIOTECHNOLOGY).

you can do bio-tech without maths bt u can't do b.tech without maths as i know........

See as u know bio-tech is a combination of biology and technology..........so technology as the name suggests contains full of techniques.and as it is said physics and maths are the mother and father of technologies.so a small chunk of maths is required to do B.tech in bio-tech.in btech also its only for 3-4 semesters out of 8 werin u hv maths but for that 12th maths may help u a lot............its very easy dear....u will njoi solving it.......with regards .Anurag.......u can ask me more wenever u want to on my [email protected]

To study B.Tech in biotechnology in future you should have combination of both the subjects maths and biology with physics and chemistry, one may be additional and one may be main or vice-versa.

In B.Tech(bio-tech),you need to go through both these two essential subjects.

So if you had not maths in 12th then go for other options like B.Sc in bio-tech, or even clinical research courses.

Actually its not possible to do so as BTech in Biotech is a technical course and is different from BSc biotech. So you must have maths if you want to do so.

But if you have real interest in Biotech then i guess you should go for BSc in Biotech which then you can upgrade to MSc in biotech. Job opportunities are immense so you dont need to worry about that

This is not possible for you without having maths in 12th. As you know every branch in engineering must have a essential subject as Mathematics. So, you are not fit for b.tech in Biotech.
You may go for B.sc in biotech, which has wide scope for your future prospect.

i think u can not come in b.tech with out mathematics.because for appearing in b.tech entrance exam u must have mathematic in ur 12th standard.so sorry.bt there is one way to u do bio.tech without biology in 12th standard through b.sc.because on entrance exam is taken in b.sc final yr to take direct admission in b.tech.if u can qualified that exam .ithink u must do bio.tech.

but you can do the b.sc in biotechnology without the mathematics..

so now you decide, whct yo want to choose.

What if I studied mathematics as optional/additional subject in 11th and 12th ? can I get admitted to btech?

As you don't have Mathematics in your 12th..then you are not eligible for Btech after 12th..

you have interest in Bio tech then ,you can do Bsc in biotech, after that you can aply for Btech.. but it will be little time conmusing, rather than you can go for Msc after your Bsc and then go for GATE for Mtech..

otherwise you are not..

Bio- technology.But you can go BSc in Bio-Technology without mathematics.

AS PER B.Tech SYLLABUS OF BIO-TECH THERE ARE MATHEMATICS IN THAT.
SO I THINK THERE YOU CANNOT GET A CHANCE.

BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO IS YOU CAN TRY FOR B.Sc IN BIO-TECH AND THEN M.Sc
BECAUSE THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE MATHEMATICS.

in b.tech biotechnology maths is not of tough subject .its simple one and any one can learn easily ....its based more on biology subjects rather than maths or physics.so if u r interested in b.tech biotech go for it as maths does not make a big deal as i ws also afraid of taking b.tecch biotech because of maths.now i have completed my b.tech in biotech and looking for specialization....

Sir what about the Srm And vit university they offer btech biotech course to bilogy student?

Sorry sir, without mathematics b.tech (biotechnology) is not possible if you have keen interest in biotech then go for the b.sc biotech and the m.sc .there are huge opportunities after PG in the biotech. You may also go for the MBA .

Sir,you couldn't to get B.Tech in bio technology without studying maths in XII.you can choose another field.

B.tech is a course which is a Engineering course. For joining in B.tech course you must have completed your 12th std from a school of recognized board. In
12th std you must have taken science as your stream with maths as one of the main subjects.

Either Bio-maths or computer science(But not Pure Science) stream students are eligible for joining in B.tech. Because B.tech Bio-technology is also an engineering course and part of B.tech, so maths is very essential.

It is not possible to pass 12th without mathematics and it is not possible to get admission for B.tech without 12th Science.

Better you do science in PCMB pysics,chemistry,mathematics and biology.

There is no option other than this.
