i am a 12th class student having subjects BIOLOGY , CHEMISTRY , PHYSICS , ENGLISH , PAINTING please help me how i do bio-tech ?
tell me about its advantages and disadvantages
is there any entrance exam ?
if yes, then its date , timing , eligibility etc.

i want to do B.Sc in bio-tech.

Well my dear friend,

Irrespective of your group in your Intermediate you are eligible to do Biotechnology course.

If you are an mpc or bipc group candidate,try to go for BTech biotechnology which will be offered in few college only.

So getting good rank in EAMCET is must inorder to join. After Btech completion you may have bright opportunities or you can also go for M.tech.

For joining B.SC biotech, whatever the group you are in your 10 + 2 you are eligible.

In BSC the various combinations will be
1. Biotechnology-biochemistry-chemistry
2.biotechnology-botany-chemistry
3.biotechnology-zoology-chemistry
4.biotechnology-microbiology-chemistry.



Advantages:
1.High demand for the biotech people because of shortage of biotechnicians
2.wide number of opportunities in all pharmaceutical and biotech companies
3.After completing msc biotech and if you start research, you will be paid minimum of 100000 per month
4.Biotechnology is all about making human beneficial products by using micro organisms and new technologies.
5.So new technologies coming and creating lot of employment.

Disadvantages
1.Just simply joining and completing the course in unreputed college will not fetch you anything.
2.I dont know your group in intermediate.if you are a arts student better clear about the terminology of biology and put hard efforts.

HELLO,biotechnology is slowly but surely progressing in india.to get admission in B.Sc. biotech you should have 60% in your 10+2. you can get admission directly for B.Sc.in any private college & in govn. college on the basis of percent/merit list.
after B.Sc. you can take CBEE(combined biotechnology entrance exam)for M.Sc. exam conducted by JNU for the top 28 universities in india, in the month of may- june.

I am studying intermediate 2nd year. My subjects are maths physics and chemistry. Pleae tell me how can i join biotechnoloy if i am elligible

you must try to go for BTech biotechnology because this feild has a great demand in the market.

You can do B.Sc. also .the combination that are provided are -

for doing BIOTECH you have the right combination of subjects in your 12th std that is PCB

There is different procedure for admission in biotech course in different colleges as some of them give admission on the basis of CET and some give admission on the basis of 12th percentage that is merit based

So you can go for a Biotechnology course after your 12th by appearing in the CET that is based on your syllabus of your 12th std

According to your subject of 12th science you are eligible to do Biotechnology course.
