I am doing bca from sikkim manipal university in ditance mode.
can i get appear in ias exam?

Sikkim Manipal University is a recognized university and hence the degree offered by it, even distance mode is considered equivalent to the degree offered by any other university offering the program through distance or regular classes.

Now, as you have mentioned that you are pursuing BCA, you are eligible for the civil service exam, conducted by union public service commission.

The minimum eligible age is 21 years.
The maximum age limit is 30 years for general category, 33 years for OBC category and 35 years for SC/ST category.

yeah you are eligible for IAS Exam.

The minimum Eligibility criteria required to get enrolled for this exam is :-
->You should have minimum of 21 years of age.

->You should have a degree which is recognized by Indian University.

As you are doing BCA from a Indian Recognized University you are eligible for the examination.
Only doubt regarding your enrollment is your age if your age is equal to or above 21 years of age then you are eligible to write the examination after the release of next notification.

mean while prepare well for this examination.
this examination is not a single paper it is actually three level patterned examination.

i.e.,,
->CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test)
->Mains
->Personal Interview

the whole process of examination will nearly take 1 to 1 and half years.

Eligibility crieteria for appearingin ias exam is graduation from recognised university.
Sikkim manipal university is recognised by ugc and dec.
You can appear for ias exam even though you are doing bca from sikkim manipal university as it is approved by ugc and dec.
