i am doing a graduation in BA from sikkim manipal university, i am in the final year; now i have came to know that degree from this open university is not recognized by UPSC examinations. Please tell me whether it is valid or not.

Sikkim Manipal University is recognized by the following regulatory bodies:

University Grant Commission [UGC]
Distance Education Council [DEC]
Association of Indian universities [AIU]

Hence, the degree is recognized on All India Level, including higher studies and employment in Public as well as Private sectors, given one must have scored good aggregate marks.

I have done p.g in ecology&env.science through correspondence.is this valid or not.

sir please tell me smu is valid for Bed admission in kashmir and jammu university then why not both universitys refused the smu students and evry one accept it smu is one of the best university

Sir i have done ba from SMU through DE. I went to GNDU Amritsar for admission in MA. But they declined to get admission in MA. they also told only the persons can get admission who has done BA from IGNOU.

I have done BA from SMU. GNDU Amritsar declined to get admission in MA. What i do now

i will think for graduation in this univercity but is this degree valid for IAS & IPS exam?

You don't need to worry about your eligibility for IAS Exam. Sikkim Manipal University is a recognized one.

The candidates who have completed Graduation from this university are eligible to appear for public services exams like all UPSC exams.

So, forget about this thing and plan yourself of how to crack IAS Exam.

Before that have a glance over the required information regarding IAS Exam.

There is no separate Entrance Exam like IAS Exam for the candidates to join IAS. But there is common written exam called civil services exam for the candidates through which the candidates can join all the defence services like
Indian Administrative Service
Indian Police Service
Indian Revenue Service etc.

UPSC wil conduct the following selection procedure to recruit the candidates into the following civil services

CSAT Exam
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

The candidates who completed Graduation can take this exam.
The candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation can also take this exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview

The age criteria will be different for the candidates of different categories.

21-30 years of age for General category
21-33 years of age for OBC category
21-35 years of age for SC or ST category.

As you are in the final year of your Graduation, decide upon optional subject first.

Start preparation for this exam from a coaching institute. It would be better to crack this exam in short time.

Have good preparation for the exam and crack it.
