IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services .IAS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IAS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Yes, B.tech is Textile Chemistry students are eligible for IAS Exam.

Educational IAS Exam:-

Required qualification for IAS exam is only graduation degree. Your degree must be recognized .Final year of degree courses candidate are also applicable for IAS Exam.There is no percentage criteria if graduation degree.But you must have minimum marks atleast .

Age criteria for IAS Exam:-

Age Required for general candidate is 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is there as per govt rule .

No of attempts for IAS Exam:-

4 attempts for General category candidates
7 attempts for OBC category candidates
Unlimited attempts for SC/ST category candidates

Selection process of IAS Exam are - Preliminary Exam ,Mains Exam ,Medical Test and Personal Interview .

ELIGIBILTY:
Educational Qualifications: Graduation pass in any Stream

AGE- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times
OBC- 7 times
SC/ST- No such restriction

Next UPSC Prelims Exams will be held on 19th MAY 2013
Last date to apply is 4th March 2013

If you are Aspiring to Become an IAS officer then you should have to apply for Civil Service Examination which is conducted by UPSC twice in year for the post of an IPS Officer, IAS Officer etc......

For applying CSE (Civil Service Exam) you require following Qualification.....

Any Degree from from Recognized Universities.......

Graduation Study in final year student also apply for it....

General Age Limit is 21-30 years. but there is relaxation is available for reserved category....

Relaxation on Upper Age:

For OBC category : up to 33 years...

For SC/ST category : up to 35 years...

There are only 4 attempts available for General category (For OBC 7 attempt limit and for SC/ST no attempt limit).........
