Re: Can I appear in JEE 2016 having 4 years gap between 10th and 12th?
JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and the same examination is held by the Central Board of Secondary Education once every year for the selection of deserving candidates for their undergraduate technical courses from top government engineering colleges such as IIT, NIT, IIIT, ISM and private engineering colleges.
The general qualifications required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :- * You must have either completed your higher secondary degree or must be in the final year of same with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your main subjects and having secured at least 60% in each of the mentioned subjects from a recognized board of education. Marks relaxation of 10% are offered to reserved category candidates. * Your age must be within 17 years to 25 years till the final date of year in which you are appearing in the same examination. Relaxation of 5 years are offered to reserved category candidates. The maximum times for which a student can give the same examination is three times including the year in which he has passed his higher secondary school degree. You are eligible for the same examination having a gap of four years in between your secondary school degree and higher secondary school degree as there is no such rules for the continuity in degree courses. For further details regarding the same examination you can log on to the links www.jeemain.nic.in. |

Re: Can I appear in JEE 2016 having 4 years gap between 10th and 12th?
Yes, definitely you can appear in JEE 2016 examination even if you have 4 years gap between your 10th and 12th standard. Candidates who have completed 12th standard in Non-Medical Science stream in 2014 or 2015 or 2016 from any recognised board are eligible to appear in JEE 2016 examination. So, if you complete your 12th standard by 2016, you can appear in JEE 2016 examination.
