Re: Can I appear in JEE Main 2016 after clearing 12th from NIOS board?
Yes, you are eligible for the Joint Entrance examination that will be conducted in 2016 if you have failed in 10+2 once and now you are appearing for the qualifying exam 10+2 from NIOS board. NIOS is central government recognized board, so the certificates are valid for the exam.
For the JEE exam, a candidate must study Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board. the minimum percentage of marks required to appear for this exam is 50%. However you should try to score as much as possible as percentage of marks scored in the board exam helps to achieve good overall rank along with marks in JEE. The notification for the JEE 2016 has not yet come. So, you should wait for it, most probably it will come in the month of November 2015. |
