Re: Can I appear in JEE Advanced is there is gap of 2 years between 10th and 12th?
Yes, you are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination even if you have 2 years study gap between your 10th and 12th standard. To be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination, you should have to satisfy the eligibility criteria specified below :-
=> You should have to appear, qualify and secure top 1,50,000 rank including all categories in JEE Main examination. => You should have secured minimum 75% (70% for SC/ ST) aggregate marks in your 12th standard examinations or you must be in top 20 percentile candidates of your respective state 12th standard examinations. As per the data you have mentioned in your query, you are going to appear your 12th standard examinations in the year 2017, so, if you appear, qualify and secure top 1,50,000 rank in JEE Main 2017 examination as mentioned above, you are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination. |

Yes, if you will pass 10+2 in 2017, you are eligible to appear for JEE examination. JEE examination is conducted by CBSE and IIT.
The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidates must have passed 10+2 from recognised board with PCM as main paper. There are only three attempts to appear for Main and two for Advanced stage. So, you can appear for 2017,2018,2019 in Main and in 2017,2018 in Advanced. So, you just need to prepare for examination to qualify in examination. For more information about examination visit at www.jeemain.nic.in. |

After 10+2 you have only three attempts to appear for Main ( including the year of appearing for board examination). So, you can appear for examination. |

Re: Can I appear in JEE Advanced is there is gap of 2 years between 10th and 12th?
JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. JEE is conducted by Central board of Secondary Education every year for admission of candidates into different engineering disciplines. JEE has two stages JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The score of JEE Main is used for admission of candidates into NITs and other government engineering colleges.
JEE Advanced score is used for admission of candidates into Indian Institute of Technology. The eligibility criteria for JEE Main is that candidate must have done 10+2 from a recognized board with PCM subjects with minimum of 50% marks. JEE Main qualified candidates are eligible for JEE Advanced exam. There are three consecutive attempts for JEE Main and two consecutive attempts for JEE Advanced, one in year you pass the board exams and other in next year. Yes, you will be eligible for JEE Advanced exam if you clear JEE Main in 2017 even if you have two years gap between 10th and 10+2. |

Re: Can I appear in JEE Advanced is there is gap of 2 years between 10th and 12th?
Yes you can appear for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced both if you had taken a gap of 2 years in between.Make sure that it was a gap and not a wasted attempt at trying to pass 12th standard exams.
This is because you are allowed to give the JEE Mains and Advanced only for consecutive 3 years and 2 years respectively after your first attempt for the 12th standard board exams. If it is a gap then you have all your attempts still intact. |

Yes, you can appear in JEE advanced but only if you have qualified JEE mains.
The maximum no. of times a candidate can appear in JEE advanced is two after passing class 12th it means that you can also appear in next year JEE advanced. I hope it is clear now. |
