What are the next steps after passed the written exam of National defence academy? Please let me know in details soon.

National Defense Academy conducted by the Union Public Service Commission has two stages:

1. Written test.

2. Service Selection Board.

If you have cleared the written test of the NDA entrance exam, you will get call letter for the SSB from commission soon. Service Selection Board is 4-5 days test consisting of screening test, GTO test, Personal interview and Medical interview.

Once you clear the SSB and medical examination, you will go under training in military academy. So prepare well for the SSB as it is the decide stage whether you will be able to join defense or not.

Procedure for NDA exam:-

1.Written test
2.Physical test
3.Medical
4.Interview

Written test is conducted by UPSC but other 3 steps are conducted by SSB.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam. NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army.

The candidate's who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
