Bank PO exam is one of the Bank exam and this exam is conducted for candidates to join in for the post of Bank Probationary officer.

are a graduate...... then after you eligible for apply bank PO exam.............

No you can not. One of the various eligibility criteria of Bank P O is candidate should be a graduate degree holder (B SC, B A, B Tech, BE, B Com, B Pharma, B Arch, BCA, BBA) You have to complete your graduation and then apply.

However, if someone is in his/her final year s/he can apply because by the time s/he will get the result of P.O exam along with interview and all, his/her graduation is expected to be completed.

Hi,

You can not apply for bank PO exams while in your third year or even completing third year.

Students who are in final year can apply for some banks if they can show their certificate of passing by the end of the date decided by the bank authorities.

But some banks do not even allow final year students for PO's post, they only allow graduates who have got their certificates.

The basic criteria for PO in most of the banks are:

A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university with 60% marks. 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

Age should be between 21 years and 30 years. 33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC/ST and 40 years for PWD candidates.

So you should complete your graduation/engineering first with a good percentage of marks, then apply for PO exams.

In the mean time you can apply for banks' clerical exam because you are absolutely eligible for that.

IBPS Po Exam Pattern :

It consists of two types

Written test
Interview

Duration : 150 min
Questions : 250

Computer knowledge

Each section carrying 50 questions

You are doing B.Tech and you are in 3rd year.
So,You will have to complete your graduation
Then you will be eligible for bank PO examination.
Try to maintain 60% marks in your B.Tech
Then you can appear for all the banks
But you are eligible to apply for the bank clerical exam.

You can apply for the BANKS PO in the final year of graduation so if you are in the final yer of graduation in any field then you are eligible for the exam.

every year bank exams are held based on 10 th ,12th,and engineering levels you can opt.As you are engineer you are able in a position about it .so I advice you after completion of B.tech try for it, but for having experience you can write.

while pursuing B.com i want to prepare for bankPO but i dont have much knowledge in computers..what should i do while preparing for bankPO?please help. -soumya sinha.

In order to apply for Bank PO, you need to be graduated in any discipline.
You need to have Computer Certificate as per DOEACC. Knowledge of Microsoft word is preferable.

P.O.-Probationary Officer exam conducted by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) from time to time as per the requirement P.O. for Bank.

IBPS conducts P.O.exam for 19 Public Sector Banks.

One is not eligible to apply for Bank P.O. exam after completion of 3rd year of Graduatio Degree course.

ELIGIBILITY OF BANK P.O. EXAM:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National.
-Should have completed Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidate.
-Should be a computer literate one.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview.

So if you are interested for Bank P.o. then after completion of Graduation you can apply for the same.

sir, i missed to fill the application form for ibps po exam, i have read in newspapres that ibps po exam has conducted two times in a year. Is it true, if yes then plz tell me what is the next date of issuing an application form for po exam in ibps?
