Can I apply for Junior Electrical Engineering after completing Diploma in Electrical Engineering?

Generally after completing Diploma engineering Cadidates are known as Junior engineers, in terms of qualification and designation.

But misconception is that people think of it in Job also, where the things are different enough.

In terms of recruiting company Junior Engineer will mean Trainee Engineer, Fifth Engineer, Fourth Engineering etc. And all these designations are generally meant for B.Tech/B.E. freshers.

So, the think I want to say is that without knowing company's Job profile it can not be adviced weather you can join as 'Junior Engineer' or not.

If you would be eligible there should be mentioned under qualification requirement.

Generally Diploma Electrical Engineers start as a fresher with jobs like- Electrician for any Factory, working under the command of engineers/supervisors at site etc.

For being equivalent to an Engineer in terms of work it takes at least 5 years of experiance for a Diploma holder to get equivalency.

Yes, there is no doubt you can join as a Junior Electrical Engineer job after completing Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

The eligibility criteria of Junior Engineers in govt departments is -

3 year Diploma Engineering by the recognized university.

You might have observed that in electricity department J.E. are Diploma holders.

In Private sectors they decides the designation by their own and it differ from company to company.
