Profile:

The Electricity Department of Goa was established in the year 1963 as a Governmnent Department. It is considered as the only licensee in the state of Goa for transmission and distribution of Electrical Energy. The department purchases power of 16 Mw from Reliance Industries Ltd.. The Electricity Department pays the charges to Maharashtra State Electricity Board and KPTCC. The major objective of the department is to purchase power from Central Grid and other sources and then to transmit and distribute it to the consumers in the best possible way and with greater reliability.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply for the posts of Junior Engineer in the Electricity department of Goa. Selected candidates will have to work in Goa and will have to works towards providing better electricity facilities to the people.

Eligibility:

Candidates should not be more than 40 years of age. Reserved category candidates will be provided reservation as per rules.

Educational Qualification:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute or university is required for applying for the posts of Junior Engineer.

Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2800

Selection Process:

Candidates will have to qualify in the written examination as well as the interview session with the selection committee.
