no, Hotel Management is done after 12th.

Minimum qualification required to go for a course in hotel management is 10+2. For certificate, diploma and bachelors courses 10+2 is sufficient.

but their are many jobs which could be really handful for you .just do some professional course and you can also do job in internet .

To do the Postgraduation course it is a must to have completed graduation. After 10th standard you are eligible a Diploma course only. You may be required to appear for an entrance exam. After completion of the Diploma course you can go in for a Bachelors course. There is no restriction on the age criteria.

I dont think that you are eligible for reading hotel management now as you have noy passed the 10+2 level. Your age is also too much for getting admission in the hotel management course. NO, you cannot do Hotel Management course after completing 10th class

because minimum eligibility for Hotel Management course is 12th from a

regonised board.

And There is age criteria also for Hotel Management course i.e. 18 years to 21 years.

No you cannot do the hotel management after the 10th class the minimum qualification required for the hotel management is 12th class with 55% marks. You are also age covered candidate so you cannot do this course.

In order to do Hotel Management course,you will have to appear for All India Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination 2013.

In order to appear for this Exam,you will require the following Eligibility:-

Educational Qualification:-


>>Your Minimum Educational Qualification should be 10+2/Intermediate pass out in any stream from recognized university/board.
>>English should be your compulsory subject in 10+2.

Age:-


>>Your age should not be above 25 years in order to appear in this Exam.

-Diploma in Hotel Management

-Certificate courses in Food Production.

This courses are offered by many hotel management colleges across the country.

The admission is based on performance in the entrance exam .So you have to be well prepared for entrance exam if you want to get a good college.

There is entrance exam conducted by PUSA every year for admission into diploma and certificate courses . You can apply for this entrance.

If you want to do a degree course in hotel management then you have to complete 10+2 or diploma then only you will be eligible for it.

You need to complete 12th Standard in order to apply for the course.

The age which you mentioned is also high compared to the eligibility criteria.

For 9th class student there is officially no Hotel management course available.

Criteria for taking Hotel management course:

Minimum Qualfication: 10+2
Percentile:55% Aggregate in Intermediate


Course Duration: 3 years with 6 semester(Total)

So sorry to say that you cannot do the Hotel management course officially.But you can this course after your 10+2.


Hotel management course has a great future in the present generation.Since many hotels are recruiting the students for the chef's and also the chance of getting jobs in the overseas is also possible.

There are many jobs which can be done after Hotel management course and for example my friends works on a cruise for 6months and 6months rest.
He is offered a handsome salary.I mean to say the salary is very high.

So in the end you have a bright future after doing Hotel management course.
