Yes, B. Com holders can apply for IAS. Degree holders from any of the recognized Universities can apply for IAS. Selection is done on the basis of UPSC conducted written test and interview. Age of the applicant must be less than 30 years. Further details can be collected from UPSC web portal.

Yes you can do this and go for the entrance exam of IAS as well as IPS. The details are as follows :- Eligibility criteria for IAS is as follows :- 1. All graduate are eligible 2. Graduation must be done from a recognized university 3. Only Indian citizen are eligible 4. Age limit is 20-30 years 5. Graduation subject does not matter at all 6. relaxation to those who belong to SC, ST and OBC 7. Attempts are also limited that is why a thorough preparation in mandatory. 8. No minimum percentage criteria for IAS. Exam is conducted in 3 stages. IAS Preliminary IAS Mains IAS Interview You should choose subject as per your graduation subject otherwise it will be difficult for you to clear the exam as if you choose some other subject then you will face difficulty as you have to start from scratch You said that you are a B.com graduate then yes you are eligible for the exam. all the very best for the exam. If you are B.Com. Graduate then you will have no problem in applying for IAS Examination provided you fulfill all other conditions.
So start preparing for IAS Examination if you fulfill below mentioned criteria. Educational Requirements: -Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. -You must be an Indian Citizen. Age Limit: General Category - 21 to 30 years OBC Category - 21 to 33 years SC/ST Category - 21 to 35 years Number of Attempts for IAS Exam: General Category - 4 attempts OBC Category - 7 attempts SC/ST Category - No limit How to apply: When notification are out you can apply for Civil Services Examination by visiting UPSC official website http://www.upsconline.nic.in Application Fee can be paid through Bank Challan or Net Banking. Sir i am a commerce student and have given 12th board this year.I dream to be an ITO (income tax officer)...so how should i prepare for it without hampering my B. Com studies......n is there so coachings to prepare us for upsc exams?

IAS exam exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year. Eligibility criteria for IAS is as follows :- Candidate must have completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Age limit is 18 to 30 years. 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates and 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates. Candidate should be an Indian. No. of Attemp - Genera categry - 4 times. OBC category - 7 times. SC/ST category - no limit. Exam is conducted in 3 stages. IAS Preliminary IAS Mains IAS Interview Best of luck......... |

Yes, you are eligible for IAS with your B.com graduation Any Bachelor of degree is enough for become an IAS officer IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country. India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment. Eligibility Criteria :- A.)Educational Qualification:- The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC. B.)Age Factor:- 1.> For general category :- 21-30 years and can attempt 4 times. 2.>For SC/ST :- 21-35 years ,and there is no limitation . 3.> For the OBC:- 21-33 years and can attempt 7 times. Paper Pattern for IAS exam :- 1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks 2) Optional paper carries 150 marks. There is Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC every year for IAS Post.
As you have mentioned you have done B.Com. I want to tell you that all those candidates are eligible to write IAS exam who have graduate degree in any stream. I am giving Eligiblity criteria for IAS exam. Eligiblity for IAS Exam-- To write IAS exam you must complete your Graduate degree with any stream. Age should between 21 to 30 years for General candidate. You have to complete your graduation. Once you meet the eligibility criteria and form is filled, admit will come along with the exam details. UPSC comprises of three sections Preliminary Examination which covers objective type questions, Mains which is subjective type questions and personal interview questions. For eligibility part, aspirant’s age limit should be between 19 to 40 years. Relaxation is also given for SC/ST candidates of 2 years as per the government norms. Also candidate should be Indian and must possess a graduation degree.Jain IAS Circle and IPS Tuition in New Delhi are equally good for coaching.
