Re: Can I give IAS entrance exam after passing 12th and graduation
Dear Sandeep,
The Acronym "IAS" stands for Indian Administrative Services. To join the Indian administrative Services , the candidates have to pass the Civil Services Exam. The Civil Services Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. Through the Civil Services Exam , you can join any of the following departments : * Indian Administrative Services * Indian Police Services * Indian Economic Services * Indian Foreign Services The Civil Services Exam is considered as the most prestigious and toughest examination conducted every year by the UPSC. This is because of the complex Selection Procedure of the Civil Services Exam. Re: Can I give IAS entrance exam after passing 12th and graduation
Quote:
Generally the examination takes place in three stages as mentioned below:-
The educational qualification required for this exam as mentioned above is quite simple actually. Anyone with a graduate degree can apply for this exam. The subject you choose at graduation level is not considered. This examination can also be given by the final year students as well. Your age has to be between 21 years and 30 years to apply for this examination. That is the prescribed age criteria for this exam. For the SC/ST candidates there is 5 years relaxation, for the OBC category there is 3 years relaxation and for the differently-abled candidates there is 10 years relaxation. There is a limit to the number of times one can apply for this exam. While the general category candidates are allowed for four times only, OBC candidates can give this exam for seven times. But no restriction has been imposed on the SC/ST candidates. Top IAS Coaching Institutes in India:- 1. Raus IAS Study Circle, New Delhi and Jaipur 2. Indian IAS Academy, Chennai 3. Ujjwal IAS Academy 4. Achievers IAS Classes,Bangalore 5. Chanakya IAS Institute, Delhi 6. Analog IAS Institute, Hyderabad 7. Elite Academy, Mumbai Hope this helps :-> :-> |
