IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services .IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year .This Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

If you have completed Graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IAS exam.There is no marks criteria.Final year student are applicable for IAS Exam.

You have graduation degree so you are applicable for IAS exam .Career gape is not create any problem in IAS exam .

The Candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years . Age Relaxation for OBC candidate is 3 years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

The Acronym "IAS" stands for Indian Administrative Services. To join the Indian administrative Services , the candidates have to pass the Civil Services Exam.

The Civil Services Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year.

Yes you are eligible to sit for the IAS examination as you are a graduate. IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. It is popularly known as the civil service exam and it is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. There are other such civil service exam like Indian Police Service, Indian Forest Service and Indian Engineering Service.

Generally the examination takes place in three stages as mentioned below:-

• Phase I: CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
• Phase II: Mains (Civil Services Mains)
• Phase III: Personality test (Interview)

Generally the CSAT exam also known as the qualifying examination takes place in the month of May or June. On qualifying in this exam you will get to give the Mains which takes place generally in the month of October-November and finally the personality test takes place in the month of February or March of the following year.

The educational qualification required for this exam as mentioned above is quite simple actually. Anyone with a graduate degree can apply for this exam. The subject you choose at graduation level is not considered. This examination can also be given by the final year students as well.

Your age has to be between 21 years and 30 years to apply for this examination. That is the prescribed age criteria for this exam. For the SC/ST candidates there is 5 years relaxation, for the OBC category there is 3 years relaxation and for the differently-abled candidates there is 10 years relaxation.

There is a limit to the number of times one can apply for this exam. While the general category candidates are allowed for four times only, OBC candidates can give this exam for seven times. But no restriction has been imposed on the SC/ST candidates.

Candidates willing to give IAS entrance examination have to fill up the online form on UPSC website. The website for filling online form is http://upsconline.nic.in. For giving IAS entrance examination candidates must follow the other eligibility as well.

The other eligibility needed to give IAS examination are mentioned below:
