Yes your eligible to apply for Interior Designing course after complete your Diploma in Civil Engineering course . You may apply for following degrees like ,

• B.A Hons (Interior Designing)
• B.arch (Interior Designing)
• B.Des (Interior Designing)
• B.sc (Interior Designing)

Eligibility criteria :-

You should qualified in 12th board Examination or Diploma course in any discipline or equivalent Examination from recognized university . You should score minimum 50% percentage of marks in 12th board Examination . You should also qualified in Entrance examination .

Entrance Examination :-

• CEED :- Common Entrance Examination for Design
• NLAT :- National Level Entrance Aptitude Test
• NEED :- National Entrance Examination for Design

The Admission for Interior Designing course is based on the entrance examination scores , So if you score good percentage of marks in entrance examination then you get admission in reputed colleges for Interior Designing course .

Yes you can do. See small construction you can easily make design for such kind of constructions. As per as your knowledge you can make design easily. It will not create any problem to you but also it will increase your knowledge.

But my suggestion to you is that first not to go for any higher or big construction design because you are a little experience people. There are so many candidates who are elder than you and have experience. First gather some experience from doing such kind of design in making some some interior design and then go for big construction.

Generally interior design are consist of following four parts ::-

1. B.Sc.
2. B.Arch.
3. B.Des.
4. B.A.

All the degree mentioned above are under interior design which you can pursue after diploma in Civil Engineering.

If you are considering a change in profession from engineer to designer it is worth considering. Unlike engineering, designing field is different. You need to develop lateral thinking, there is no right answer in designing, it is always about finding different ways of approaching a question rather than a straight path. No complex calculations (if you are designing luminaries, there are few, but I can't call them complex).
Here are the things you will learn if you choose interior designing.

You will enjoy the course if you are really passionate about it.
You will learn there are many ways to approach a problem and there are many answers to the same question
You learn to appreciate the designs.
You learn the detailing.
You will miss the routine that is found in engineering, since every project is different and every project is a new challenge.
You will learn designers are late bloomers.
Designing is fun but you will find that will pay you less.
Your experience in civil engineering will not help you a bit in interior designing.
Opportunities as a designer are less compared to engineer.
